Air Curtain, Type ZZ oprema

Application

Air curtains prevent drought and reduce penetration of cold or warm air from one room into another at high temperature
differences. In addition, air curtains prevent ingress of dust or insects in working areas, being particularly important in cold stores
and food industry. Air curtains are applied at entrances of department stores and shops, in business or sport facilities, and
industrial facilities (workshops, warehouses, etc.) as well.

Characteristics

Basic characteristics of klimaoprema air curtains:

- Low construction height (300 - 400 mm),
- Simple and easy mounting,
- Low noise level,
- Air flow rate control option (2 or 3 grades, or infinitely variable),
- Low energy consumption.

Air curtain components:

Casing,
Fan unit,
Heat exchanger heater (only for warm-air curtain),
Filter, at inlet side of an air curtain,
Intake and supply (pressure) grille

Air curtains designed for suspended ceiling installation (U model) additionally require:

Rectangular air duct made of galvanised sheet steel, with knee bends and reducers,
Flexible coupling elements between duct and air curtain casing, made of canvas or rubber-lined textile material,
Suspension accessories, hangers, etc.

Air curtain casing is made of galvanised sheet steel, heat and sound insulated from inside.

Air curtains that are not designed for suspended ceiling installation (i.e., those for visible installation) are available in two
models:
- N model (standard) casing plastic coated in white (RAL 9010); other colours available on special request and at extra cost,
- K model (comfort) - air curtain design and colour should be agreed upon during contract negotiations

Fan unit, made of galvanised sheet steel, contains electric motor for continuous operation, 220/240 V - 50 Hz; standard
model two or three speeds, on special request continuous air flow control model is available.

Lamella-type Cu-Al heaters are installed in warm-air curtains. Hot water 90/70°C is normally used as heating medium
(standard construction). Heaters for other heating medium temperatures (110/70°C, 110/90°C, 130/90°C) are supplied on
special request. Heat output for water 90/70°C is given in the table (referring to warm-air curtains).

Selection of the air curtain type or model depends on application (department store, shopping centres, butchers', etc.), door
dimensions and installation conditions.
