Focus Theme 2019 »Wanderlust«
Wanderlust is on our mind in 2019! We
get on the train and travel through hilly
landscapes towards our holiday destination.
The train takes us to Allgäu in a relaxing
atmosphere! We find ourselves in great holiday
accommodation during our stay at the Guest
House “Edelweiss”. In the adjoining garden,
vegetables are grown with the Deco Minis –
organically, of course! A day trip leads us into
the surrounding mountains. After an extensive
hike across meadows and through forests of fir
trees, we reach the summit cross and enjoy the
panoramic view. We then return to the Alpine
Hut “Christl” and invigorate ourselves in the
beer garden there. All our struggles forgotten,
we continue by bike down the “perfect”
serpentine road to the nearby lake for some
bathing and refreshment. After a busy day, we
retire to bed feeling tired and happy. This is
how a great day off can end!

3D Cardboard Sheets
The 3D Cardboard Sheets are printed on thick cardboard in realistic matt colours and then press formed.
This creates a beautiful surface. Wall, roof and wooden sheets can be easily cut with a pair of scissors or a
craft knife. Since they are made of high-quality cardboard, they can be bent and fixed to the landscape with
a hot glue gun or NOCH Landscaping Glue (ref. 61133).
For example, plastic bridge piers or simply walls and portals made of plywood or chipboard can be
realistically clad. To simplify the designing of tunnel portals for you, a pattern is printed on the cardboard
sheets, which are suitable for tunnel portals in H0, TT and N scale widths.

Magnetic compartment for small parts
(e.g. screws) Developed by professionals for professionals, this is reflected in the
many details of these Foam Train Service Trays. The PROFI Foam Train
Service Tray has two hollows for your locomotives. In one, the locomotive
can be clamped upside down in the soft foam. It is now easy to inspect
from below, and gears and axles can be easily oiled. Locos and waggons
can be placed sideways or diagonally upside down in the sloping tray.
This allows side panels to be cleaned and engines and piston rods to be
repaired, as well as many other servicing jobs.
The Foam Train Service Trays have different compartments and recesses,
in which a brush, oil pen and tools can fit.
Small parts and screws can be stored in the integrated compartments.
So that small parts do not get lost, a magnetic disc is incorporated in one

EMD SD70ACe
The SD70ACe is the latest in the line of EMD's »70« locomotives, an
evolution of the SD70MAC, although its radiator design harkens more
to that of the SD80/90 body. The SD70ACe has been designed to fit the
latest EPA standards and regulations, and sports 4300 horsepower.
The Union Pacific has currently put in the largest purchase order
for these units, and as a display of respect for the railroads it has
incorporated, has produced six »Heritage« style painted locomotives with
road numbers designated by the year they were merged into the UP.
By popular demand, Kato is doing a re-release of these two unique

»Revaty« Tobu Limited Express 500
Since April 21, 2017 a new electric multiple unit (EMU) is operated by
private railway operator Tobu Railway on limited express service in
Japan. Eight three-car sets (24 vehicles in total) of Tobu 500 series,
branded Revaty, were built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
Idea is to couple the three-car sets individually together with other

Revaty services or separated them when needed. This coupling capability
has enabled Tobu to increase the number of services to popular
destinations such as Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen, and also means that
passengers can now travel directly from Asakusa in Tokyo to the Aizu
region in northern Japan, without having to change trains on the way.
Rokuhan realized two of the 3 car sets: the Revaty Kegon and Revaty Aizu
Tobu Limited Express as well as a Revaty Starter Set.

EMD GP7/9 Diesel Locomotive

In 1949, EMD introduced the GP7. The basic design followed most diesel switchers with the addition of a short
hood instead of an end cab. The hoods were also full height to better accommodate the diesel engine and
mechanical and electrical components. In 1954 EMD upgraded the GP7 to become the 1,750 horsepower
GP9. Externally, the first GP9s were virtually unchanged from the last GP7s. Later versions would include
different louver arrangements and the last ones would come without the frame skirting.
Many railroads chose to rebuild their GP7s and GP9s for continued service. Often times, it was cheaper to do
this rather than purchasing brand-new locomotives.

First built by General American in the early 1940’s, the mill gondola Pullman-Standard dominated the covered hopper car market beginning
was designed for steel mill shipments that required extra length and in the 1950s, thanks to the design success of their PS-2 series of
