As a teacher, I believe that the most important thing about a classroom is, that it is

engaging and fun. That the students have a safe environment where they can learn new
things, grow from conflicts, and take new risks. Students need to feel safe and comfortable
with getting things wrong, to help encourage them to try again. A Classroom should also be
colorful, attractive, and appealing to the students eyes. A welcoming and happy vibe needs
to be seen and given off by the decoration of a classroom. Students need to love the
classroom in order to be comfortable in it. On top of this, a classroom should have hands on
activities for students who learn differently than others. Having different ways for students to
accomplish the same thing, provides the student with various ways of learning, encourages
them to take charge of their own education and engage more with the curriculum.
The qualities of a teacher are equally important to the makeup of the classroom. A
teacher should be cheerful, kind, and direct. A teacher needs to be cheerful to make
lessons and activities fun and engaging for their students. They need to know how to get a
smile out of a student when they’re having a bad time/ day. Teachers need to be kind.
Kindness is the best way to solve/ do things, because if the teacher is kind, then they show
that kindness is good in life, and give a day to day example of good behavior to their
students. Although being nice and funny is important, you also need to be direct. Teachers
need to be direct when students are misbehaving, disrupting the class, or other times when
it is appropriate. Teachers must know how to control their class, or a student that needs the
help. There are many other qualities that teachers should have, but I truly believe that these
are the most important.
Taking everything into account, I believe that teaching should be fun and engaging
for both students and teachers. Students learn things when they are having fun. They don’t
take into consideration the time they put in or the hard work they are doing. I believe
learning is done better when students put in action what they learn. Hands on activities are
the best way for student to demonstrate what they learn, and see their mistakes. I believe
teachers should be passionate about what they do. Teachers also need to love their job, in
order for the students to like the teacher. And, I believe students should be provided with
multiple methods of learning. There isn’t only one way of doing/ learning things. Everyone
has their own way they understand and makes sense. My philosophy is that all of these
things are necessary for a happy and engaging classroom and teacher.
