through my journey to my duty as a trainee

PHILOSOPHY
My Philosophy in life is that “mistakes should

not be considered as a failure, it should be a blessing
because it makes us a much better person”.
Many of us consider their mistakes as

their failure, sometimes they thought that they
can never be given another chance to make thing
right. But the truth is, mistakes are just a
challenge that God has given us to be stronger
and much better person in a way to correct things
that we might have done wrong. We all know that
we can never turn back on a thing that has
already happened but we can still make it up, not
only by not doing that again but also by learning
lesson from it and acquiring those lessons in our
daily life.

CAREER PLAN
At last, my four hundred eighty six hours of duty as a

trainee has already ended up and I consider it as one of my
success as a student. It thought me a lot of things I will be doing,
especially in terms of being in the field of professional in the
future. Thou, there are times that we commit some mistakes, it
just reminds us that whatever happens we should learn from it
and most especially we should still do whatever our task is.
For almost three months of being a student trainee
and learning about the world of profession, I have already a plan
of what am I going to do after graduation. I am looking forward
to have a job to help my family, applying to be a call center
agent or a photo and video editor would be my first target job in
the future. From here maybe two or three years after, I want to
do broaden my knowledge and skills in this field. If ever God
will be grateful, I wanted to have my own business place where
I can just sit down and count the blessings that will come.

INTRODUCTION
Along with all the other beneficial programs, one of the most inspiring and advantageous
program is the yearly On-the-Job Training Program, which is almost universally known by its
acronym, OJT.
On-the-Training (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is planned,

organized and conducted at the employee’s worksite. On-the-Job Training will generally be the
primary method used for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. It is
particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee’s job –
especially jobs that are relatively easy to learn and require locally owned equipment and
facilities.
Morale, productivity, and professionalism will normally be high in those organizations

that employ a sound OJT program.
An analysis of the major job requirements (identified in the position description and
performance plan) and related knowledge, skills, and abilities from the basis for setting up am
OJT plan.
OJT helps the students familiarize themselves with the job-related equipment’s and gain
direct experience to an approved standard. As they are supervised, their confidence level is
boosted and they learn to perform jobs right. In the 486-hours of training, the students get an idea
of how to handle responsibilities. They learn how various jobs are done in an office. They
understand the responsibilities involved in a job, how to entertain them and how to work as a
group.
On-the-Job Training allows you to learn the skills necessary to perform the job tasks of
your position in an efficient and safe manner while under the direction/supervision of an
experienced worker.
On-the-Job Training means that you do not need to be experienced in that particular area
as you will be taught while working. Many companies offer On-the-Job Training for the
purposes of having employees learn their policies and procedures. Another great way to learn a
new skill is through Internships.

The definition of philosophy of life is "an overall vision of or attitude toward life and the purpose
of life." At sixteen I have viewed my life and determined that family, friendships, education,
humor, and creativity are my top five values. This essay will describe my reasoning behind my
top five values and how they have been used in my life. Family is at the very top of my values
because I agree that an overall rule for mankind is that family always comes first. From the first
moment of your life you are cared for and protected for by family. My family is foremost do to
the fact that after the past three years where I have been extremely sick which included going
through three surgeries I had support. While through all my breakthroughs my mother, stepdad,
and two siblings were always there for me right by my side. I cherish my family. . A friendship
should be valued because I value having someone who I can trust, who has my back, who I can
go to for advice. I also value someone being honest to me, a friend who will be my friend during
a disagreement, and a person who won't push me me down in order to make myself feel bad.
Also while seeking for a friendship I look for someone who will value me as a person not for
what they can get from me or what I could get from them. Instead what we can learn from each
other, a genuine friendship. My best friend of three years has always been there for me while I
was at my worst and at my best. She helped while I was sick and while I was having a hard time
at home with my father and his wife. . My third life value is education. Many people in this
world take school for granted.Where others would do anything for it. Knowledge is the highest
power anyone could possible earn. Your education is used throughout your entire life as you
work through a career. Knowledge proves who you are. In my mind education is the insurance of
being successful. Humor is a huge part of my life.

IMPORTANCE OF PRACTICUM:
Through this On-the-Job training, we will able to experience how to

interact with the different types of employees with different personalities which
can help us to easily cope up with the individual differences on a certain office. As
well as to develop our communication skills in every transaction we made in the
office , considering that the profession demands dedication, loyalty, devotion,
human understanding , interest and plain hard work. This venture also lets us to
experience and learn all the possible duties and responsibilities of being an
employee in a certain office. It is not just by being a trainee but as real worker who
knows his/her duties such as to perform the work with all honesty and gratitude.
OBJECTIVES OF PRACTICUM:
The overall objective of this On-The-Job Training is to train the
student to be proficient in their chosen profession.And that this activity is
beneficial to us student in order to improve our ability and capability in
accomplishing or performing works observing all the rules and regulations of the
office. Students are also given a chance to apply the theories and knowledge that
we have learned from school to our chosen profession. It is one way of developing
and exploring ourselves on the real world of works to be ready in facing job after
graduation.
TIME AND PLACE OF THE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING:
Time and Place of the OJT On-The-Job Training started in the 28 of June 2017 and
ended in the 20th of October 2016.And was performed on DENR-CENRO. Their
office hour is from 7:30-in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon every Mondays to
Saturdays.

HISTORY BACKGROUND OF THE AGENCY:
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL

RESOURCES
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) had its beginning
in the old Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR). In May 1974, the
DANR was split into two departments through P.D 461 in recognition that natural
resources and agriculture are broad and differing concerns. As such, the Department of
Natural Resources (DNR) was mandated to ensure the conservation, optimum, utilization
and programmed exploitation of the country's natural wealth including the aquatic
resources. With the shift to a parliamentary form of government in 1978, the DNR
became the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). IN 1984, by virtue of Executive Order
No. 697, the management of fisheries sector through the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic
Resources (BFAR) was transferred from MNR to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The events of February 1986, brought social awareness among the Filipino
people that altered the character of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). The
creation of DENR under Executive Order No. 131 on January 30, 1987 and the issuance
of Executive or 192 on June 10, 1987 better known as the "Reorganization Act of the
Department of Environment and Natural Resources" brought a radical shift in the
Department's structure and function. Pursuant to the Executive Order, the DENR became
the primary government agency responsible for the conservation, development and
optimum use of the natural resources as well as the protection and development of a
sustainable environment management system for the benefit and welfare of the Filipino
people.
The people of the Philippine Mining Act or R.A 7945 and implementation of
DAO No. 9711 brought changes to the structure of the Regional Offices, relieving Mines
and Geo-Sciences Sector from the changes to the structure of the Regional and
authorizing this Sector to perform line function.
Changes brought by the passing and approval of the Clean Air Act or R.A 8749
mandating the Regions Environment Sector to operate as line Bureau. To date, an interim
structure has been organized cater to the needs and demands of constituents in the
Mainland Provinces and Island Provinces.
Implementation of DAO 99-14 dated May 05, 1999 provided for the redefinition
of functions and realignment of administrative units in the Regional and Field Offices.
DAO 99-52 dated December 15, 1999 prescribed a detailed definition of function for the
realigned divisions that finally spelled-out the development d reforms initiatives.

ORGANIZATIONS
The Regional Office of DENR-MIMAROPA is presently situated at L&S Bldg,

Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila although there are plans to be relocated to the
MIMAROPA regional center in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
DENR-MIMAROPA has five (5) Provincial Environment and Natural Resources

Offices (PENRO's) located in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro; Calapan City, Oriental
Mindor; Boac, Marinduque; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; and Odiongan, Romblon.
Its community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENRO's) are found
in Mamburao, Sablayan and San Jose (Occidental Mindoro); Calapan City, Socorro and
Roxas (Oriental Mindoro ); Boac ( Marinduque); Puerto Princesa City, Roxas, Taytay,
Coron, Narra, Quezon and Brooke Point(Palawan); and Odiongan(Romblon).

STUDENTS JOURNAL
I began my On the Job training at Development of Environment and Natural
Resources (DENR) on June 28, 2017. A long way from being an understudy, my every
day routine has been changed into something normal for me. I need to wake up at an
early hour in the morning, set myself up for the difficult day ahead, and give out the best
upon my working hours. I came to understand the significance of at work preparing
(OJT) to an understudies' life. Beside the preparation that I got, it's the experience and
discovering that I procured and will pick up for the forthcoming days which made it more
basic.
Fortunate for sure for me to have the capacity to pick the best place that do
things which are completely identified with my picked field, and the best thing about
them, they want to share everything that they can give, with no wavering.
Yet, not all OJTs are as fortunate as I am. Not all have a great ordeal, and that is
the sharp truth. Some of the time some are enlisted just to do some kind of stuff, to top
it all off, is the point at which they're entrusted to do things which are not completely
identified with their course. It turned out to be most noticeably bad as in they will never
have the opportunity to develop, to investigate and find themselves, and to pick up
encounters which will serve as their direction in venturing into this present reality.The
chance to have the best experience that each student wished to have got to be distinctly
inaccessible for them. The preparation ground that was required to set them up for the
future turned into a weight for their improvement.
In my working at Development of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is

exceptionally testing yet fun since I have rehearsed a ton of my I.T aptitudes. I have a
considerable measure of things I've learned like "Filling Document" likewise I had an
opportunity to print a clustered of papers. I likewise took in the time is truly essential, in
light of my back subject that cause my time in OJT abatement, and hence, I had endure
to be separated from everyone else there due to an excessive amount of postponed all
things considered I endeavor hard to finish my undertaking and I set my brain to go to
my OJT ordinary with no unlucky deficiencies.
Three months and three weeks are sufficiently long to finish my employment. It
was truly hard for me however. Be that as it may, on the other hand I am resolved to
complete my On the Job Trainee. I am truly grateful due to my kind associates. My CO-
OJT'S are all useful, they are the person who guide and help me at whatever point I
don't get up to speed our given undertaking. What's more, they are additionally
amusing. My On the Job preparing was decent and I had an incredible affair.
OJT is more than what it implies. It's the arrangement of preparing, learning and
the most imperative elements of all, the experience. Much the same as what a
renowned quote says, "Experience is the best educator".
