Lesson Intro (What will you say to get the students’ attention, communicate the lesson objectives, and motivate students
to achieve them?):
Today is the day you are going to be performing your routines! I will be filming each group at a time. But before
you do that, I am going to let you practice for about 10-15 minutes. After that, we will choose the order of who is
performing and if there is time we will have a few groups be the instructors and instruct your routines so the class
can follow along. But now, you will take this time to practice and review. So go ahead and stand up and spread
out and get with your groups!

Learning Objectives Assessment

Each objective should include: a) Performance (the For each objective include your procedure for
knowledge or ability the learner will gain as a result of this determining whether objectives have been met:
lesson), b) Conditions (under which the learner will
perform, and c) Criterion (the level of performance
considered acceptable):
1. Students will use time wisely and for reviewing when 1. informal observation

given that time
2. Students will perform their routine with their group to 2. grading rubric
the best of their ability with the aspects of the rubric in
mind
Safety considerations and/or modifications for special needs students:
-if a student is injured, have them modify the movements and perform to the best of their ability. Unless they are severely

injured and should not be participating

Learning Activities

Closure (What will you say and do to help students recall the lesson objectives and recognize what they’ve learned? How
will you meet one or more of the following goals: review, accountability, cool-down, recognition, interpersonal
communication, future plans?):
Great job today! You all have worked very hard on your routines and I loved how they all turned out and how you all had
fun with them. If you did not instruct your routine to the class, we might have you do that as a warm up one day for our
upcoming tennis unit. One last thing, if you did not print out your typed out routine and give it to me today you can email
it to Mrs. Preston and she will share it with me so I can give you the points for it on your rubric!
Reflective Comments (to be completed after the lesson):
Next time I teach a unit like this, I will have the students use the songs from the playlist I made when I showed them at the
beginning because one of the songs was cut differently and one group had to redo their routine at the end.
