We are pleased to introduce ourselves as one of the leading Forging Units, situated at Mumbai,
city in Maharashtra State (INDIA.)
SAGAR FORGE was incorporated in the year 2005 to supply quality- Open Die forged
products to the manufacturers of Heavy Duty Forged Auto components, Pipe fittings, flange
fitting and other OEMs.
Our production capacity target is 1800 Metric Tons for the very first year 2009. We source
our raw materials from approved steel plants such as RINL, ISSAL, MUSCO, and TISCO etc.
All incoming Raw materials are checked thoroughly in our Chemical Lab, by qualified
metallurgists. Our qualified & experienced team of professionals achieved quality-working
conditions at all levels (Design, Tool room management & execution) of operations.

SAGAR FORGE has its own inspection plan for all the components and its processes at
different stages of production.
All the materials coming to the company from different sources has to undergo inspection and
testing as per inspection plan before it goes to stores. Raw material incoming from the
approved steel mills are kept in the stock yard and 100% visual examination and spark testing
is done. Chemical, metallurgical and physical testing is also carried out as per the control plan
or as per customer's requirements. After approval of the material in the laboratory, color code
is given to each and every bar as per the material grade. Physical testing e.g. upset test, step
turn test, tensile test, Impact test; macro etching is also carried out. Metallurgical testing of
the material e.g. Inclusion Rating, Grain Flow, and Microstructure is also carried out.
2. Process Inspection:-
Inspection is carried out at every stage of production at different stages e.g. Die Shop, Cutting
Shop, Forge Shop, Heat Treatment Shop. Each shop or processing department has its own
inspection plan to satisfy the customers' needs depending upon the experience.
Die Shop: -
Dies are checked thoroughly by plaster cast before release for production and inspection
reports are kept in file for reference.
Cutting Shop: -
All the cut pieces are weighed as per cut weight and stacked separately as per the grade with
color-code.
Forge Shop: -
3. Final Inspection: -
All the forged in coming parts to this shop are shot blasted and following inspections are
carried out as per plan.
Visual inspection For scale pit, under filling, mismatch etc. are kept separately.
Dimensional Critical dimensions like thickness and references points for 1st
inspection operation at the customers end are checked 100%.
Layout is carried out for one sample from the lot, and dimension are
