INTERVIEW SCHEDULE VERBATIM
The interview questions are asked of you, the participants, in order that the researcher
will be able to gather data needed for his dissertation. Please answer the questions as honestly as
you could. I assure you all that all the data gathered from this interview will be kept confidential
and will be for research purposes alone.
In: How do you feel about integrating ICT in your lessons?

T1: Well actually for me integrating ICT very good way of yun nga Integrating ICT for
students through…let’s say…for them to…ah what do you call that…mas ma visualize
nila yung..ahh..yung lets say sa isang lesson. Mas makikita nila, let’s say.. na mayroong
mga pictures by showing them through ICT integration. So mas mai..ma Mas
ma…anong tawag diyan sa tagalog mas ma…maroon silang…or mas magaga or mas ano
yung learning nila…madali silang maka relate, when it comes into the discussion.
In: What were the challenges that you have encountered in integrating ICT in your lessons?
T1: Mga challenges, ah okay so, sample actually let’s say pag walang kuryente di ba, when
I’m ano yun is…pag let’s say lowbatt yung ano, laptop di makapag ano kahit walang
let’s say walang projector, alone laptop lang walang kuryente, so isang challenges yan.
In: Aside from that ma’am, what are other challenges you have encountered?
T1: Other is like yung…internet connection din, pag wala, especially pag..pa-
related online yung ano…let’s say for example when you are creating website mayroon
mga application na kai..kailangan ng internet.
In: How did you manage to overcome those challenge(s)?
T1: So sometimes Let say walang wala talaga, kung hindi magamit ng ICT or ICT
integration, I do it manually nalang, so why…writing on the board, yung mga…mga
lesson kong i..i..ibigay sa mga studyante.
In: How do you promote the responsibility regarding the use of materials found online?
T1: So of course, I let ano..ahh..I let students informed kung anu ba dapat nilang gawin when
it comes to online ano..online or using internet..ahh… use.
In: Example ma’am?
T1: For example let them avoid na…mag mapunta punta sa mga site na hindi kalingan sa
discussion, so, kung lang yung focus talagang gamitin. For example application na or
mga… mga…kailanagan or mga site na gamitin for that ano...certain discussion.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in the development of instructional
materials?
T1: Incorporate so i…integrate parang ganoon po?
In: Yes po.
T1: Papano ko iintegrate…ahh okay so, yes of course with the use of application
mas i-integrate ko sya…for the them to learn more, mas ma-maging effective yung
learning para sa kanila.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in instruction?
T1: Pag instruction sa ano sir?
In: Instruction as in the teaching-learning process.
T1: For example po?
In: Let me rephrase the question po. How do you use technology in the teaching learning
process?
T1: So I let them ano…yun pa rin… I let them know kung anu yung mga dapat nilang
ano..ah…malaman when it comes to the... instructioning the students yung focus
na…dapat lang nilang gawin.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in the assessment of learning?
T1: Medyo ano sir ah-
kasi ginagamit ko lang sya offline, Offline I use like for example
powerpoint presentation, so iyon ang ginagawa ko, not mostly sa assessment kasi
mayroon nman ngayon online di ba? Let’s say for example docs- dot- anu which is
online siya pero hindi ko sya magamit due to internet ano-… parang hindi masyado ano
dito ang internet.
In: As a teacher, how do you enhance your knowledge in ICT?
T1: So of course, I continue searching online para mas ma ano ko pa ang ICT sa mga
students.
In: How have the ICT trainings and seminars attended and your attitude towards ICT
integration helped you as a teacher?
T1: So of course, It helps me..in a way that, yung mga studyante hindi na sila…tawag
nyan…malayo sa henerasyon. So iyong mga trainings helps talaga para akin ay para mas
ma engage studyante when it comes to technology.
In: How do you feel about your current organization?
T1: Para sa akin maganda…siya, kumbaga sa ano rin naman maganda yung pagpapatakbo ng
DepEd especially when it comes to integrating ICT they ano- , nasasagawa sila ng mga
trainings for us to be more knowledgeable, para makapagbigay ng mas magandang
learning sa mga students.
In: What are the things that would make you want to stay your current organization?
T1: That would make me stay? Siguro kasi nadun yung way na a gusto kong mag stay
because, I want my students to learn, especially when it comes to ICT because I am an
ICT ano- ah...teacher din.
In: How about the things that would make you want to leave your current organization?
Why?
T1: Siguro, pag leave pag iwan parang ganon?
In: Yes po.
T1: Okay sir siguro, pag uhm..when it comes siguro sa technology kasi-
in my part I’m an ICT teacher dapat may mga equipment na ginagamit. So as of
now, uhm.. mayroon naman gingamit ngayon which is mahirap kasi magturo na
salita ka lang ng salita, pero sabi naman ng DepEd is darating ngayong December ang
mga devices, kung wala parang it will-, ang hirap kasi magturo when it comes to
technology na more on lecture without uhhm.. technology. Yun siguro ang reason why I
should leave my organization if di nila mapunuan ang mga pagkukulang na iyon..
In: How do you view yourself as a teacher using technology in your class?
T1: As an ICT I would say that… I’m a teacher with… a passion when it comes to ICT, I like
students ahh… I like watching…a student who is learning because of what I have
learned also that I am a teacher with a passion when it comes to ICT, I like watching
students who is learning because of what I have learned. And then kumbaga sa ano,
masaya ako masaya aku na as an ICT teacher nakakapagturo sa studyante, kumbaga
nagiging ahhh… mirror nila ako para matuto pa sila. or matuto sila when it comes to
ICT.
In: How do you perceive the importance of ICT in learning?
T1: How do I perceive [soft voice], of course, yung ICT kasi ang laki na ng Malaki na ng
uhhmm…. tulong nya nowadays, So, without ICT siguro we cannot move on, or cannot
ahhh let’s say the development of education. Parang magiging stagnant kung walang ICT
or yung exploration ng mga bata is parang, wala…uhhhm, parang stop lang diyan.

T2: I think for us… to… have ahh.. competent students we really must have to integrate ICT
to our discussions. I mean globally it’s now widely accepted that we should have 21 st
century learners. So for them to be able to integrate into the society and we must
prepare them. So we must really have ICT integration in our classes now.
In: What were the challenges that you have encountered in integrating ICT in your
lessons?
T2: Challenges; first is resources and that’s a big one. first we must have our own gadgets
we are not provided by the system, so we must provide our own laptop, printer, TV,
speakers then comes the venue, is the classroom enough, will my system be audible
enough, is this TVwide enough, is the location of the classroom good enough. So aside
from gadgets we must go to lesson plans, the curriculum…ahhh…
guide…uhhms…provides specific lessons that we could integrate ICT too or if there are
how can we use ICT well- its not just we use TV all the time and that’s it, we must have
carefully planned lessons. Third, are the students prepared to be engaged in ICT,
say…what do they do when they watch TV? is that it, they must be doing something
else as well, So, venue, lesson plans, students, even teachers. That is for the sake of
presenting them, a movie and that’s it, okay watch TV and I’ll go, ‘di ba? those are the
things that must be considered. I am feeling challenged by those things.
T2: First I bought my own gadgets, [Laughs] I bought my own laptop, speakers, printer,
and for TV, I had help coming from the PTA and it should be paid for…two school years,
then the rest will be from my own pocket. Its quite hard uhhm…having the chip of your
salary that something to be placed for something that is used for the students. I mean
salary should be our own right? Or like reward for working, yet apart from our reward
being…. being… brought back to the classroom where we work…like.. like… it’s a cycle.
Another for students I have problem with adjusting my students with the traditional
instructional materials to new ones, why? they are only sometimes… they only want
something to be like tangible, they could see then… easily replaced, but when it comes
to moving… a little bit they would be having a hard time. I mean it-… we would think
usually of ICT as an advantage like pictures are moving now, things that we could not
usually share with just…two dimensional things. But...uhhm…with limited resources… I
think they could not yet fully grasp the usage of ICT-
There should be more than just play and watching so, prep.. preparing my students
then third teachers, ahhh…for me…when I prepare a material I do not stop with just
presenting I want the students to manipulate as well, so probably that there lies my
difficulty in engaging the students to manipulate the ICT ahh…resources not just
merely using, hearing, watching, I want them to be involve-
Also, Practice! like yeah, for specific let’s say film viewing I don’t want them to merely
view, to do something while viewing, asking questions if they have to, or improvise
part of the lesson, that would fit best, part of the lesson that would fit to the situation
so probably each section will be different, slightly different from the other sections,
depends on what happens in the lesson.
T2: I advise them to check safe sites, I mean there are a lot of site available, some would
easily copy and paste, or some would go to sites that are not relevant and reliable so I
would ask them to stick to… sites that are not quite relevant...I mean reliable and be
careful in getting into sites that are quite dangerous.
In What advise do you give your students ma’am in relation to promoting responsibility in
the use of materials coming from the internet?
T2: Ahhh…first and foremost when it comes to online then I would tell them to just really
be careful. I mean just one click you would see anything not good, so avoid going to
sites that were not good. Avoiding posting anything that is not good as well, so vice
versa. Since there are a lot of blogs right now, not only facebook, not only those social
media, forms where they could actually give comments to blogs or sites when they are
researching. So just careful and going to dangerous sites, careful in what they click,
careful in what they save during those sites, just safe sites.

T2: Incorporate the use of technology in preparation of instructional materials, basically
the site is not just used as a reference but also we have sites that good for
presentations, we have-
I’m not entirely using all the web 2.0 sites but we could use some 2.0 sites to help the
students, we could actually use those sites in delivering the lessons.
T2: Usually since I’m on the language, film showings, video clips, listening to dialogues and
listening examples on how people back then speaks; like, accent, ahh…difference
ahh…examples the readers theaters, uhhhm… an examples of place, uhhhm…classical,
stories myths and all those.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in assessing the learning of your
students?
T2: Assessment, for assessment in the use of ICT in class, using ICT not quite, ahhh...for
assessment… usually I use the traditional paper and pencil test. I found a site found a
site about assessment, I thinks it’s Edmodo, I use it occasionally because I found
something that is at of disadvantage because when one student can answer ahead of
time, then the answers are revealed then he/she will share it to the other classmates.
then the next person could answer already the correct answers only given by the first
students who took the test. But I am still to figure out how to use ICT integration with
assessment... But for assessment that is not the… the… let’s say on answering type
let’s say performance I will still use ICT, I mean they could perform like reciting a poem
using ICT like using a background music or they could do anything it depends on the
lesson actually.

T2: By having those equipment, learning becomes accessible and I am able to learn the
new trends in technology specially in integrating ICT in my lessons.
T2: I think I have not attended yet an ICT related seminar, but been exposed into ICT since
college uhhhm…helped me in using them as well in teaching my students.
T2: I think my current organization is trying its best to…uhhm use or integrating ICT in our
lessons and almost all of the classes now have laptops, have TV’s, have speakers its like
we’re having an AV studios here, out classroom is almost all a/v equipped so I think our
organization is trying it’s best to integrate ICT as fast as we can.
T2: Stay, uhhhm, I think it’s-
One that could make me stay is my clients, my students, when you have the passion,
you could be placed anywhere in the math, but specifically in this institution, probably
its not more on professional related, ahhh…uhhhm…let say…issue but its more on,
family since my family is here in this town, I am also here and if I’m leaving its also for
my family as well [laughs].
T2: View my self using ICT, I think every lesson that I make using ICT, evertime that I would
revise my tools I became view myself as a teacher who uses ICT in my class as a better
teacher since, every time I revise my lesson I become a… better teacher every time, I
mean I always have this ideal Because I have this idea of not competing with others
but competing against myself. In whatever I try to compete myself I try to outdo my
older self, previous self. So, every time I would use ICT I would try to it revise if there
are things needed to be improved, then comes another time I use it, I think it’s better
then gets better and better and better. But I still know of course that we still have
some lapses there are still room for improvement no matter what so I just think that
I’m probably getting better sometimes.
T2: I think it’s quite ahhh…important that we should integrate ICT into learning, teaching
learning process.
In: Why do you say so ma’am?
T2: Because the student have to be 21st century learners, we must not go back traditional
way of merely paper and pencil, black board, we must use every resources we could
find specially in the changing times, I mean I don’t think that there is one institution
that doesn’t use one ICT so, it really helpful if we would uhhhm… train our students as
early as now.

T3: Uhhm…For me it’s really fun, it’s challenging but it’s really fun, it’s enjoyable the
students are enjoying it Like uhhm... Yeah its very enjoyable and it’s always good to be
with them, like younger people enjoying the lesson integrating technology, they’re
younger than me di ba? oh cge go-
lessons?
T3: Uhhm just like this morning...uhhm, we used Facebook messenger, [laughs] we used
messenger and they were really shocked when I told them get your phones, they were
like something, something it’s like uhhhm…are you serious? then I told them “ I know I
am the only teacher that I told you to get your phones because we will be using for the
activity for the activity, so not all of them have android phones that has messenger
with them and that has share it with them. because we use share it, It was a challenge,
also when we use the computers where not all of them are not really good with the
use of computer.
T3: I helped them and guided for them to… know how to use this and that, like don’t
something like...don’t hider on or don’t stop yourselves from learning something
anyway it will become…very useful for you as a student anyway.
T3: it is already part of our lesson, so the netiquettes we have that, they already know it. I
promoting it before we- like in the empowerment technologies it’s the second topic
they have so, it’s about internet, netiquettes I promote it that way and I always remind
them how to get information and to evaluate the information they get from online.
Ins: How do you incorporate the use of technology in the development of instructional
materials?
T3: Uhhm like if, reality we don’t have all the resources available sa DepEd so we just
search…I just search online so I can integrate more sa lesson, not relying on what is
available, so preparation I make uhmm I prepare some videos, powerpoint
presentations.
Ins How do you incorporate the use of technology in instruction?
T3: I use powerpoint presentations, and uhhm I also use like what I said, I use messenger
(Facebook), I let them watch video using their cellphones, we use Share it [app]to
share you know uhhm, educational stuff that can be used for them.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in assessment?
T3: Uhhm… Zipgrade, uhhm… I have not used the Plickers yet but I will use it like yeah very
soon and also uhhm, Excel, of course, and then assessment for
example…uhhm..performance task, so I’m assessing them [laughs] using rubrics.
T3: Uhhm...Self study, then also the trainings we have conducted, the Microsoft Philippines
of course really helped mel, so that it [laughs]. I learn by my own youtube, friends and
colleagues
T3: I became more open minded on the use of technology since we are teaching the 21 st
century learners and it helped me become more confident in teaching… in teaching
with technology.
T3: Uhhm…I feel challenged, I feel like-
it’s not to brag, I feel like the 21st century learners like need me as their teacher. That’s
just me of course
In: In what way you are being challenged or you feel challenged?
T3: I’m challenged... I’m challenged to do better like or.. something like that because
uhhm…I’m not ICT like I don’t have, I did not graduate as an IT and uhhm… before I was
not like very confident in teaching with technology because I don’t have enough
knowledge about it. I’m not even confident in the use of it, but uhhm.. I’m feeling
challenged its because my subjects now are actually not mathematics related so I want
to do more, I want to search more, I want to know more about it and yeah, also the
generation now it really matters.
T3: Because Im challenged and uhhm, [laughs] no, because I’m Challenged because di ba if
youre not challenged in the organization that you are in, its like you’re, you’re like
uhhm…why Im staying here if your not challenged. If- because if you are challenged
you are- unsa ni, ka na ba you are motivated to do more, you are motivated to learn
more so that you can… unsa ni, share more to your students.
Why?
T3: Uhhm, frankly speaking, uhhm, It’s like not earning enough the salary is not- like its
not enough for us, uhhhm..why? support nalang [laughs] uhhm… like still, we still have
our salary but I still have to make room construction from our own money and then
DepEd is not providing all the resource so we have to… unsa ni… we have to have
internet connection…our own internet connection, because the school doesn’t have
internet connection, not- naa but its not always naa ang internet connection we still
have to buy our own books because there are no books yet provided by DepEd, like
facts like that. I feel like I’m not paid well [laughs], that Im not well compensated. If the
system would not change then I would consider transferring to another organization.
T3: Effective, [Laughs] because I feel like they are learning, they’re- unsa ni..we are using
technology in the classroom, they learn more using the technology so I feel like
effective[laughs]. I won’t call myself im the best at it but I always try my best to share
my best to my students.
T3: The students’ needs to see or use ICT as well, like iCT is visible and should be visible in
the classroom while learning because they are digital natives and they really need it.
They will feel board without it. It’s because they live with it they’re very dependent
from it. it’s really really important in learning. They would learn more with ICT with the
use of ICT.

T4: Ahhh… as an ICT instructor sir… we are using technology naman in our lessons so-
Okay lang, it is manageable naman.
In What were the challenges that you have encountered in integrating ICT in your lessons?
T4: Challenges? ahh... maybe the internet connection [laughs].
T4: ahh.. As I have said we have a slow internet connection sir.
In: Yes sir, but how did manage to overcome that challenge?
Ahhh… not all the time the internet connection is slow, Si if I have time to... to… visit..
we have neighboring…neighbor school, VSU College, I’ve been working.. I have worked
there, so they have a fast connection (internet) there so if I have time I go there to
download some of… my lessons videos.
T4: ahhh…well here in our school reality is ano I don’t… I don’t force them to ano- to… or
do not do…do… oblige them to use the internet, so I provide them my downloaded..
example videos- so I gave them downloaded videos. I just conduct demonstration
teaching then I gave them videos as a reinforcement of my lesson. In my subject most
of the videos I use is only tutorial specially we have in CSS (Computer Systems
Servicing), the videos that I have give them for example I have a demo after the demo I
give them the videos so there is a reinforcement in the form of review to those who did
not get the demo.
In: 4. How do you incorporate the use of technology in the development of instructional
materials?
T4: Ahh actually my.. most of my instructional materials I’m using videos and PowerPoint.
They’re using different kinds- ahhh… instructional like PowerPoint, video presentation,
then some of it are downloaded then after I downloaded it I just edit it, omit some,
some added which are the things important to focus on what is important. I also use
the tools like Sony Vegas and windows… live to edit videos and as for pictures I use
Photoshop.
T4: I use the downloaded videos and show it to my class and PowerPoint to present
concepts
T4: Ahh…In assessing my lessons, actually sir my lessons for example is first in assembling
computers, so its actual, actual talaga yung pag ano- then there is also virtual, We use
Hyper V in virtual assembly and the Cisco app in which the students can virtually
assemble a computer so after that virtual apply it in actual.
T4: Ahhh…research, updating because technology is always updating. So I am also updating,
since the school send us to seminars and aside from seminars the internet. We have
forums, so I join forums for ICT.
T4: It was a big, great help-
In: In what way sir?
T4: There are things that.. ahhh… I know that I do not know and there are things that
ahhh… so let’s say something new are new that the seminars have brought,. It help me
in a way that I have upgraded or updated in way or.. just like using new technologies. So
aside from ano, PowerPoint I have encountered that there are other learning materials
like the… Plickers.
T4: enjoy naman [laughs]
T4: want me to stay? [laughs].. real talk [laughs] ahhh..actually deped naman has real ano,
paying me good [laughs]…. bitaw, as long as there is a great or good bond relationship
with my colleagues that’s what’s important for me. The relationship between my
colleagues. Because it’s not good if not I would not be staying here.
T4: Hmmn…to leave, ahhh…for now I haven’t thought about…about that… wala pa...wala-
T4: [Laughs] ahh.. well I see my myself as above others because we have-
I have known some teachers which are still using traditional teaching so, but now our
leaners are 21st century learners naman. So, I think ahhw… Using technology for me is
an advantage us teachers using technology.
T4: Well for me ICT is not just important. Hindi lang sya important it is a must in teaching.

T5: Actually I,m excited, excited ba kasi nakaktulong ito sa akin, malaking tulong ito sa akin
para mai clarify ku yung anu, lesson, I used different media.
T5: Ahh okay, Una pag walang kuryente, if there is no electricity it’s difficult to integrate
that multimedia but we can make use of other gadgets like yung cellphones. Ahh kasi
we are using cellphones din kasi.
T5: Minamaximize ko nalang ang pagcharge sa laptop ko, then yun…so, yun nalang
ginagamit ko para then share nalang sa kanilang devices ang mga files later pagmay
kuryente na.
In How do you promote the responsibility regarding the use of materials found online?
T5: So yun, we have our concerns in Intellectual Property (IP) rights, ahh..we have to
respect that, we always have put the references and then ahh..by sharing that
materials ahh.. via soft copy we ano… populate the materials that we have downloaded
from the internet.

T5: So of course in constructing lesson, also in the different the design, layouting and
ahh..combining different media like photos and videos.
In: How about sir using technology in instruction?
T5: Ahh in instruction…I make us of this ahh LED TV, multimedia projector in presenting our
lessons. Ahh..we also use Plicker cards and zip grade to capture the result of the exam.
We also use the computer aided applications wherein the students just have to click
and automatically the scores will be produced.
In: In assessement sir, how do you incorporate technology?
T5: We use Plicker cards and wondershare app. We create the examination in a aahh…
flash format then we post un in our local website.
T5: Okay by continuous research, self study, Reseach in the internet attending trainings and
communicating with the experts using online and technical assistance.
T5: first it gives me the confidence, that this ahhh…the feeling that you can do this, modify
and innovate and ahh… how to do this. Then it also improves my ability to interact with
other people. sa una I am shy, ahh, lack of self confidence but after those trainings I
boost our ahh confidence also our competence will also improved.
T5: It’s good and I am proud of this organization. It’s because of the camaraderie among
teachers, the respect given to each one and then the support. Ahhh…trabaho ng isa,
trabaho ng lahat. Problema ng isa problema ng lahat. Yung mayroon siyang tinatawag
na subculture ng aming schools. That make us thrive [laughs] for competence.
T5: Ahh yun ano, Family touch…yes.
Why?
T5: Ahhh, when the quarrels going beyond that [laughs]. And ano, family matters if it is
needs to be transferred to other place, and that’s the thing that I want to stay or leave.
Because of family concerns.
T5: Confident teacher.
In: Why do say so sir?
T5: Because…ano… it’s our confidence that we have mastered our lessons, we have
mastered the technology provided, and then also through trainings, thanks to the
trainings we are able manage the students, how to handle them, the behavior of the
students then, the job to develop them.
T5: It is very important, especially today that the students are ICT natives...technology
natives. So we have to ahh...improve our way of teaching so that tis students who easily
bored be given excitement to the topic then maintain and sustain.

T6 Integrating ICT in my lessons is a big help to us teachers specially to me, as a science
teacher. the lesson that we are uhhm.. discussing can be understand well by the
students if we will integrate ICT in our lessons.
In: How would you describe your experience?
T6: Interviewee: Our experience is that the students really enjoy using the ICT, example in
our classroom we have television. With the use of our television the students can really
understand and uhhm.. the lessons are easily understood, they are enjoying, uhhm,
kumbaga they are not- It amun budget hiton lesson narerealize dayon, because of the
technology help.
T6: The challenges that I have encountered is that it is really time consuming. Sample if you
are making a powerpoint presentation it really needs time… your time, example me,
ahhh…kuan manla I have loads nga Filipino, tapos it Science channeling of different
subjects, tapos your are going to make presentations pa, powerpoint presentations, it
really needs time for you to make uhhm..tapos it among gihap problem is kun nga
brownout so, d kami nakakag use gihap hin ICT. So that’s it.
T6: Patience kay kun gusto ko talaga an akun presentation han akon lesson I will be patient
talaga to make a powerpoint, downloading videos para makakuan la ini mga bata.
Baga’t on the other side sige nala para an mga bata mag enjoy, sugad nala hito.
T6: Of course with some help of our colleague, and our department head nakakakuha man
gihap kami hin information ngan hin validity of our lesson tapos in Grade 7, mga basic
pa manla gihapun ito hya diri pa man gud ito hya an lesson nga talaga kinakailangan
but, maupay talaga, resources we are given resources and sites where makakakuha
kami hn information. I one of our colleague mayda hiya simulation using ICT han iya
research Physics guihapun, on becoming anu ini? Becoming responsible…responsibility,
we actually kuan…ahhh baga nag gigive kami hin kuan kami… kun hain makakuha hin
information tapos ig acknowdlege nala namon the owners of the materials.
In: In your class as a teacher how do you promote responsibility in using different ICT tools
and materials?
T6: Ahh..oh yun, that is the- kumbaga lacking because I do not have that knowledge
kumbaga hain talaga iton, but google is a kuan gud ito na nakukunan natun pero I don’t

instructional materials?
T6: In my lessons sugad gihapun hito pero gud hiya as in naincorporate pero if I will make it
a habit I making my lessons more… more meaningful…more enjoyable, more
understable or comprehensive I know ICT ahhh…help to my lessons use ICT pero gud
nakaun hya na incorporate, if I want my lessons to be meaningful and enjoyable more
understandable and comprehensive I know ICT will hav a big help to my lessons.
In: In assessment maám, how do you incorporate the use of technology?
T6: Ahhh…uhhhm…mayda gad hadto gntutdo ha amun ak kausa on ICT sugad hn digital quiz

different kinds of activities or waray na activity kay dida liwat gnpapasalida nga

T6: Enhance pa, enhance pa more [laughs], agi amu lagi ito kailangan ko pa hn internet para
ma enhance ku ito, kay how will I develop my skills in using the ICT if I do not have the
resources. Okay gad la, ngan make a change di ba? Imu pala huna huna kilangan ig
change na the behavior, the negative behavior into positive nga- hain man kami hin wifi
sugad hito, sugad pala hini, ngan sugad hini waray kami internet danay adto ak heto ha

In: How would you describe your experience in integrating ICT?
T7: Interviewee: Ahh…Pero ano mas madali siyang gamitin pag nag integrate ka naman ng
ICT mas madali syang gamitin sa klase. Kasi encode ka lang ‘tas flash mo lang at masi-
save mo pa. So ano sya, Parang ano sya, ahh...magandang gamitin kaso lang yung
resources limitied talaga ang siya.

T7:: Knowledge ng bata tungkol sa computers, nangungurog pa ha paghawak han mouse,
pag type sa ano to, sa laptop, or pag swipe sa tablet. Medyo ano pa sila, di pa sila
acquainted sa ano- technology.
In: On your part sir as a teacher, what where the challenges that you have encountered
aside from the students’skills?
T7: Wala naman masyado kasi marunong naman aku ng powerpoint, gumawa ng mga
words, excel. At saka in my class gumagamit din aku ng digital flash cards, videos,
powerpoint, yung digital flash cards sila yung nag saswipe ng tablet or pinagtatype ku
sila sa laptop.
T7: Wala kasing nagpapasa asa akin, kaya hindi aku masyado nagpapaassignment ng mga
researches kasi limited naman ang gadgets at saka internet connection, Kahit one-
month pa ang duration nyan, wala pa din nagpapasa kasi they need to ano, pumunta
pa sa computer shop pero kahit ganon wala dn naman nagpapasa sa akin. Wala silang
resources kaya sometimes, minsan hindi na aku ng integrate ng mga research research
sa mga bata using ICT.

T7: Reasearch online, gumagawa lang aku ng ano, flashcards at saka powerpoint, aside
from powerpoint gumagawa din aku ng videos. Mayroon din aku plan B pag nagkaroon
ng problem ýung sa ICT.
In: In instruction, how do you incorporate sir the use technology?
Before mayroon aku MAPEH, gumagawa kami ng film making at saka digital artworks
using MS paint at saka adobe premiere or movie maker.
In: So sir, how do you assess those digital artworks using ICT?
T7: Uhhm..wala rubrics langkasi mayroon ýun lang ang ginagamit ku mula sa
rubistar4.teachers.org
T7: Through research, videos, and youtube. Reasearch about the function of the different
icons. Nagpapatulong din aku sa ano…ano naming sa computer teacher naming dati
asking questions lang kung papano.
T7: Isang training plang na attendan ku, ICT integration in science, sa Hilongos, about ano
man adto creating digital flash cards tapos digital quizzes. Dahil digital quiz nag require
sya ng tablet. Okay sana sya kung may resources, gaya ng digital flashcards mas
maganda sya pag may tablet. Pag wala kang tablet di mu maaply ang digital flash cards.
T7: Frustrating [Laughs], Stressful, [Laughs]
In: Why did you say so sir?
T7: kasi sa case naming marami kaming subjects na hinahandle. Mayroon hanggang mga
five or six na different subjects. May A.P. ESP., PE Science and English and etc., so
medyo stressful sya paggawa ng mga IM’s mga instructional materials so medyo
stressful [laughs] and frustrating in our case ha? In our case.
T7: Siguro mga studyante cguro, kasi nagging studyante din aku nakikita ko rin yung sarili
ko sa kanila parang situation before nila na ganun lang sila, minsan walang makain,
madudumi ang damit, gusot, gusot. Cguro yung situation ng mga bata I want to help
them parang to become to become successful like me na nakatapos ng studies upto
college. siguro yun.
Why?
T7: As of now wala, as of now walang reason, at saka siguro ang impact sa akin ay ano…

mas maganda siguro gamitin nalang mag phones na nila ang gamit nila so mas
maganda yun nalang ang gamitin nila from time to time.
In:. How do you feel about integrating ICT in your lessons?

T8: Ahh ICT, using ICT in my lesson is very ano kumbaga daku it advantage kun talaga ig
aapply ito dinhi pagtututdo because syahan it captures the attention hit mga students.
And then kumbaga ha motivation na part talaga very motivating pag mag incline ka hin
mga sugad heton na mga ano. My experience in integrating ICT is ano, ano ba, papano
ko ba ig-aano parang inin, diri pa gud kami sugad ka ano, hit it kumbaga when it comes
hit pag apply ba hit ICT ha classroom. Kay ano? Inin syahan inin it amon facilities dinhi
diri gud bagan, maaram ka man hit ano. However, we are trying our best na makaano
kami para heton amun mga studyante. Kaya lang for me ICT as a teacher parang inin diri

T8: Aguy damu, syahan akon nala personal because I am not very techie when it comes to
[laughs] technology, oh honest, amu ito ak weakness. As a teacher maaram ako, that is
my weakness. Although an hadi nagtry ak hito kaso nagkaka ada ngani hin problema ha
let’s say ha TV, ha laptop, waray hi ako nagkukuan kay diri ak well ano hit how to use hit
laptop. But I am trying. [laughs]

T8: Assessment tool? Pag-assess hit ano? Assessment, ha grado di ba? Ha grado has
assessment using ICT, assessment using ICT. Amo ito nagamit ako, napapagaan iton
amun work kay madali nala. Compute it using iton na mga e-class record.
T8: May mga panahon nga nakkurian aku pag operate hiton laptop natawag aku hit akun
mga kausa na mas maaram ha ICT kaysa ha akun.
T8: Actually, daku it iya bulig talaga iton na mga trainings mga kuan. It problema kay pag
nabalik ka hit imu station kumbaga everything is empty. Ngatanan ginbabalik ha di ba?
Everything is ano. Maupay hiya nakakabulig talaga hiya hin maupay ha teacher it mga
trainings, mga ano. Kaso la sometimes very frustrating kay pagbabalik natun hit atun

talaga it nagmamanage hit school. Amu it akun nakakikita nga problema.
T8: Kuan, feeling ko anu [laughs] I just love my job, I want to stay, I love teaching hit akon
mga kabataan, and it inspires me to see hit mga bata nga around me, amo la. Sugad la
kababaw it akun ano rason and I feel also that I owe a great deal hini nga organization.
Why?
T8: To leave? [laughs a bit] Honest, ha organization waray ada. Ha station lugod [laughs].
Oo honest ha organization waray Sir. Aw ako I I di ba coming from my heart. Ha
organization ha DepEd waray but ha management may-ada. Aw dakot epekto, I will not
be me without my organization. Kuan kasi although before I I I never dreamed of
becoming a teacher pero when I entered DepEd family parang I was inspired to share
my kumbaga little technical know-how ba in terms of teaching. Oh It inspires me to see
this people especially dinhi ha barangay nga parang in a little way nakabulig ak ha ira.
T8: [Laughs] Hi aku kun in terms of using technology daku pa talaga akun lanatun in all
honesty kay bisan yana talaga nangangapa pa aku. Kay diri ako, this is my weakness. In
all honesty weakness ku talaga pero I am trying my best ky I will not grow kun diri aku
mag adopt hit changes nga natatabo ha environment.
Uhmm…very important, oo very important. Especially nowadays nga it mga kabataan,
very oriented na gud, mas madali hira ha akun pagkita mas madali and attached gud
hira ha technology, ha ICT nga kuan mas madali hra manhibaro talaga.

T9: Ahh very helpful at saka ahh as ICT coordinator lagi ko siyang iniintegrate sa ano sa sa
subject ko, even MAPEH, may MAPEH ako ngayon I use computer videos, powerpoint.
Ahh kahit ako nag eenjoy aku na iniintegrate ko ang ICT sa ano sa pagtuturo so siguro
dahil nag enjoy aku nag enjoy din ang mga bata. Nag enjoy ang mga bata nag enjoy
kaming lahat. Siguro marami silang natututunan.
T9: Ahh actually isa lang naman ang ano ang problema pag mag integrate ka ng ICT,
basically dapat mayroon kang mga ahh computer, sample sa akin mag integrate aku ng
ano ko ng lesson, sometimes hindi available ang ang flat screen namin kasi ginagamit ng
ibang teachers so gagamit lang aku ng laptop ko na mas maliit ang screen. Pero kung
ano kung available siguro tatlo o dalawang flat screen na medyo malaki o di kaya ay
projector hindi na siya mahirap. Pero pinagkakasya lang kun ano meron available ang
school.
T9: Yun nga, katulad ng sinabi ko ahh pag mag powerpoint presentation aku gamit aku nang
malaki-laking screen, since wala naming ano wala kaming projector, pero sometimes,
yun nga walang, hindi available yung tv, gagamit ng kung ano lang meron, laptop. Mag
find aku ng ibang ano ways na ano sometimes, yung maliit lang na monitor yun lang.
Pero yun talaga kung ano lang merong available sa school yun lang.
In How do you promote the responsibility regarding the use of materials found online?
T9: Ahhh siguro ah one time nagsabi aku sa mga ano ko mga student na ahh hindi lahat ng
ng nakukuha nila online is definitely na as in true, or reliable. Kasi sometimes dapat
chini-check nila yung sites. Actually nasabi ko yun kasi nagparesearch ako may isa akong
report, may reporting sila. So napansin ko na parang hindi reliable ang source na kinuha
nila yung iba kumuha sa facebook, ahh kumuha sa nag google pero as in hindi reliable.
Yung example sa ano ko MAPEH nagpasearch ako ng mga ng ng may mga ano kasi mga
global trends ng health so nag try sila mag search sa facebook, yung mga sinishare sa
facebook na mga sakit at kung ano ang mga lunas mga ganon tapos nakita ku yung
sources nila facebook lang tapos hindi sila nag research sa reliable sources example sa
sa World Health Organization. Hindi sila nag-ano sa iba pang mga reliable na websites sa
Philippines ganon. So sinabihan ko sila na hindi lahat nang nakikita nila online is is
reliable, so dapat vini-verify nila yung source
materials?
T9: Ano example ahhh hindi kasi ako masyadong gumagamit ng manila paper then di rin
ako masyadong nagsusulat sa blackboard, so imbes na isulat sa blackboard more on
powerpoint ako, then search ng video presentation, mga tutorial or mga kung ano-
anong video na related sa topic ko.
In: How about sir the use of technogy in instruction, how do you do it?
T9: Ah of course pag nag nagpapakita ako ng video presentation from time to time mayroon
akong sinasabi sa kanila na ini-explain ko kung ano yung nasa video then kung ano yung
nasa picture na nag sa slide na ano. Hindi ibig sabihin na hinahayaan ko lang sila na
magplay ng presentation hinahayaan ko lang magplay play yung video. So from time to
time nagpu-pause, nagdidiscuss.
In How do you incorporate the use of technology in the assessment of learning?
T9: Ahh okay. Like exam? Ahh wala, wala akong ginagamit na na na more on technical na
pagcompute maliban sa pagcompute ng grade na gamit ng excel. Then hindi hindi ako
nakakapag conduct din ng, hindi pa ako nakapagconduct ng online quiz or ano or
something na ganoon. Pero syempre pag gumagawa ng test paper I use Microsoft
Word.
T9: Ahh…pag may training attend ng training, minsan self-study, search search tapos
curiosity lang and internet.
T9: Ahh..nakikita ko kasi yung mga training more on basic na training minsan minsan pare-
pareho lang na training ngayon then after a year may training uli yun pa rin yung
training na ginagawa so maybe sometimes ina-assess muna kung ano ba talaga ang
dapat na mai-train. Sample magka-conduct ng training sa mga ICT coordinators syempre
from time to time may pinapalit na ICT coordinator so may bago, pero hindi naman
lahat ng ICT coordinators pinapalitan so yung iba matagal nang ICT coordinator and
natackle nila yung training na yun. So maybe dapat may ano, may changes sa ano
trainings or siguro nagka-conduct anay hin assessment kung ano ba yung iti-train sa
kanila. Then based on my experience parang konti ang training sa mga ICT coordinators
maliban lang sa mga trabaho ng ICT coordinator na example EMIS or LIS mas maraming
trainings sa ganon pero as yung skills or competency ng para maging mas magaling kang
ICT coordinator is kulang at kung maging effective kang ICT coordinator is wala.
T9: Okay naman ang ano relationship ko dito sa school and ahh wala naman akong
problema.
T9: Of course, maliban sa pagtaas ng sweldo [laughs] and incentives, siguro ahh mas
icapacitate pa ba ang teachers, yung needs ng teachers na mas medyo matulungan ng
DepEd ang needs ng teachers sa classroom katulad sa amin ahh matagal nang walang
computer eh so yun siguro matutukan nila.
In How about the things that would make you want to leave your current organization?
Why?
T9: Ahh actually, wala pa naman maliban lang kung may kaaway na ako. Wala pa naman
akong naisip na or siguro pag may offer na mas maganda why not? at saka if umalis aku
dito syempre maaapektuhan yung school buti kung may maipapalit agad or else parang
ganon. Pero wala pa naman akong planong ahh umalis sa organization.
T9: So far siguro effective naman ako na ano na as ICT teacher nila. Ahhh kasi more on ako
eh nakikita ko kasi ang output ng bata, kasi more on hands on ako, pag hands on kasi
ako makikita mo agad kung nakaka kung naintindihan ba ng bata kasi pag maintindihan
ng bata magagawa niya. Example pag magdemo ako ng ano how to assemble the
system unit. Pag ano, nasabi ko na effective naman ako kasi most ng mga students ko is
makapag-assemble ng sarili nila sila mismo kasi makikita ko kaagad kung sa gawa, sa
ano nila, hands on na nagagawa nila. Kasi kung di ako effective siguro half, more than
half ng ano ng klase ko hindi makapag assemble ng ano.
T9: Ahh tulad ng nasabi ko, talagang napaka importante ng ICT or ng technology sa sa sa
ano learning process, teaching-learning process kay parang nagiging ano siya eh,
nagiging siya yung pumapagitna na parang siya yung nag speed up ng learning ng
teaching and learning process. Nagpapabilis siya in a way na nagpapabilis ng trabaho ng
teacher, nagpapa attract ng more ahh ahhh interest ng bata pag gamit ka ng technology
so in that way mas interesante ang lesson mo. Pag interesante ang lesson mo,
interesado ang bata mas mabilis silang matuto.
In. How do you feel about integrating ICT in your lessons?

T10: I feel great, why? Because my task becomes easier. Easier in terms of preparing my
instructional materials and at the same time my class turns into an engaging
classroom instead of having a boring type. Engaging in the sense that the students
are not just imagining things, they come to see visuals and animations and of course
this is with the help of ICT.

T10: First and foremost is the presence of technology in school despite the fact that I
have my own laptop. But the problem is the school cannot provide each or we
cannot or we don’t have enough numbers of LCD projectors. So there are instances
that I am using but another teacher is using it. So I… I resorted to using the
traditional mode of teaching. Sometimes we have there the so-called monitor
provided by one of my colleagues so I borrow it from him. But there are still times
that I just resort to the traditional because of too many preparations.
For the responsibility, I always tell my students that you should not use social media
for like non-sense posts we should use social media like for exchanging uhmm data,
for queries and for posting pictures relavant to our subject.

T10: In developing? So I use technology in general because I believe those that are
moving, those that we can visualize, are more like what do you call that, mas
realistic ngan mas magegets dayon hit bata. Like I cannot have my simple drawing of
graphs without using excel, so I tend to bring my students to the computer lab, let
them do the real excel for them to have the graph. So I use ICT in developing my
instructional materials at the same time engaging kumbaga realistic na magagamit
talaga han bata.
There was a time also that I used office mix and use social media in exchange of
ideas like in research for my students
T10: Normally I use powerpoint for assessment
Like they just read the questions that they will just choose answers. Oo because
sometimes too many paperworks can be a hindrance to a more beautiful
assessment type.
T10: Enhance? First and foremost, I used to read and engage in the different like in the
Microsoft Education Ambassadors facebook page, and I also watch youtube videos
because some most of the time they give me like additional info about things. First
and foremost, sir I don’t really know the exact way of connecting cable wires and all,
so I really ask the help of my ICT coordinator and the assistant as well. So with that
they can help me and of course with also connecting the PC from the what do you
call that, network. I don’t know also that so amu ito it help na akun naaro nakun ira.
Pero in terms of MS Word, PowerPoint so I guess I have the basic knowledge that I
can impart to my students. So no need na siya.
T10: Yes sir, very much. In a way nga naapply ko hiya like the office mix, with the training
on the Microsoft after weeks I realized, Ohh, teachers can be relaxed a day, in a day
or in a week. Like, we can use our voice, we can consume our voice, diri kay pirme

comprehensive it explanation if you prepared it ahead of time.
Q7. How do I feel? I feel like I’m not, I appreciate DepEd in the sense that they are trying
to give or to make like programs that can help teachers and students but in a way,
due to lack of finances and financial support. That each teacher can enjoy these
technologies and I feel sad because they are more of ideas only and they cannot put
it into action because of the lack funds. And sometimes the equipments are not
functional. So that’s it sir.
T10: Yes, the the more promising programs and all and I think by that time they can
realize it. Like one is to one ratio of computers, one is to one ratio of LCD projectors.
It’s because of the students as I have my one year of experience in DepEd, I realized
that students really need teachers. That without technology, without technology
students can learn but without teachers, students cannot learn. So it’s the students
that make me want to stay in DepEd.
In: How about the things that would make you want to leave your current
organization? Why?
T10: What are the things? As of now I am not thinking of leaving them because I am a
newbie in the business. Wow newbie. And in the, as time goes by if more trainings
and more promising programs will be given, I think leaving is not an option.
Ins: How do you view yourself as a teacher using technology in your class?
T10: I view myself as like uhmm…ano ba… a starter, like a starter willing to learn, willing
to apply technology in my class. Oo, with the different technologies I am more than
willing to apply those in my class given the fact if I am provided with these
equipments.
T10: Perceive, I I perceived it as very important. Why? Because with technology, learning
can be easily grasp by the students. Like if I am teaching Science, I cannot just draw
the how volcanoes erupts, but then by using videos learning will be like a what do
you call that, a snap of a finger, as easy as an internet connection in Singapore.

T11: I have been teaching ICT for two years already sir, ahh not exactly two years, mga
more than one year and I can say, I can say sir that it’s sometimes difficult, difficult in
the sense that you have to prepare beforehand. You have to look for these materials
that you will be using. You have to prepare for these things that you will be using for
your lessons and sometimes we lack resources in finding these things. That’s I think
one of the problems that I see. With that I bought my own resources like TV and
laptop just to integrate ICT in my lessons.
T11: Ahh…I…I believe that before integrating, I mean before showing these technologies to
my students, before adopting these technologies, I have to provide I think a lesson on
how these materials are used properly. So regarding, of course, most of our students
have Facebook accounts so sige gamitin natin yan. So they have to think first before
posting anything I think that’s one.

T11: Well, in the, I am teaching research actually aside from ICT. Let’s talk about ICT, I’m
teaching computer hardware servicing. Of course, it is very useful in my daily lesson
because I don’t need to write as what we used to before, write in manila paper and so
on and so forth. By just uhmm working on my powerpoint preseantation, everything
becomes easy. So technology really is a big help in improving our materials in school.
In: How abou in instruction, how do you incorporate the use of technogy?
T11: Usually sir, more on powerpoint presentation and then I allow them to use the
Microsoft word, so they could ahh after teaching it they could apply it at once. So I
teach about research design so automatically after that one, they have the topic
already, after that they can automatically apply it.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology to assess your students maám?
T11: Most of the time I’m using the digital quiz where they have to choose and just you
know, hyperlink lang. Yun lang or sometimes they just have to write paragraphs and I,
using a rubric, I rate it kung ano ang nakasulat doon something like that.
T11: Well basically it’s more on gaining knowledge from attending seminars, we have our
INSET in school or sometimes if things happen out of hand I just surf the internet. Like I
was not able to connect some of the computers to the server, something like that or
something is wrong with a particular or something is wrong with my computer like it’s
not, it’s taking time to open something like that or something is wrong with the
operating system but usually I just read the internet. Aside from I think; I think it’s
really number one where I get knowledge from surfing the internet. But kasi during
seminars more on these applications lang yung dinidiscuss but it’s not on how to fix
this, to fix that, something like that sir.
In our school sir, parang there are just few people who who are really into ICT,
knowledgeable reagarding ICT so of course, I will be tapping them and they’re very
willing to extend help.
T11: Well uhmm…it provided me a lot of insights but sometimes these insights are not put
into actions. Because of many lapses like we don’t have this resources how am I going
to do this, although it’s very ideal because it will really improve the learning of the
students. But looking beyond that you would sometimes think, although it’s very ideal
but we cannot do this because we lack this, we lack that. And then, pero kaaay as a
teacher if you really wanted to improve, if you really wanted to improve your teaching
and you really are into ICT integration, I think you will do everything to meet your
goals.
T11: In terms of ICT sir? In relation to ICT? In general? I don’t have problem with my, with
my school because everybody there is willing to help, siguro with DepEd, of course
there is no perfect system, we know that but I think DepEd is doing its best to help the
teachers and the students as well. In terms of my feeling towards DepEd, although I,
this is my second year in DepEd before I went to DepEd I was teaching in a private
school, this private school is one of the best schools in Tacloban, I don’t need to
mention the name anymore ano? Now because of that school I gained a lot of mga
idealism so when I went to DepEd these ideals were somehow; these ideals sir were
not met.
T11: I think one is if I can see the support coming from higher people there if I can see that
they are doing everything to support the teachers.
In: What type of support sir?
T11: Like you know, what type of support am I referring to? [laughs] Well, usually giving
help in terms of how are we supposed to do this like in our field. Some, siguro they will
provide incentives for those teachers who are really doing well. Pero kay siguro, I am
not into that because I have said that I am a neophyte. Pero siguro really more on
support on everything. Well, let’s move away from financial siguro because it’s really a
part pero more on they are pushing their teachers to do their best and of course they
are providing as with these materials.
Why?
T11: I think it’s more on behavior of my students, ahh because our students now are
already different in terms of behavior, some of them are insensitive, and most of them
do not know how to respect anymore. I think that would be one of the reasons why I
would like to leave the system.
T11: I am a neophyte sir, kumbaga out of ranges 1 to 10 nasa 1 palang ako or 2. Neophyte
because I I am not kumbaga that knowledgeable in ICT but when I entered my school
and since I was given with this subject I don’t have much choice but to deal with it. I
have to double time, my, I have to read a lot kasi I don’t know any of this although I
know the basics. But if we’re going to go down deeper, wala na po akong alam doon.
T11: With ICT integration in learning, learning becomes easier. It becomes exciting because
students are motivated given, given if the integration is well-made. Pero siguro it’s up
to the teacher on how he or she will integrate ICT that will make learning better for
the students. But I believe that through ICT it will, it will really increase the learnings of
the kids even in our era today even that our students are millennials. So kumbaga mas
nakaka adopt hira, they are able to adopt because they know how to do it sometimes
ngan they know how to do it even better than you are. So because of that since they
feel like doing it, they know about it, definitely they will learn.

T12: Of course, I pretty welcome ICT in the teaching. It’s easier to teach. Let’s
say…uhhm…for example you have a projector. It’s easier to..to.. to teach if you have a
projector.

T12: Ahhh…on my part the challenge is more on research…ahhh…researching the lesson
you want to teach. But in using the PowerPoint yung basic lang. No problem with that.
Same with excel paghimu hn grades no problem with that. Pero hit iba I do not know
the function noon except la paghimu hiton grades. For word no problem with that.
T12: Ano, ahh...practice, practice lang. Siguro if you don’ really use diri ka hands-on hiton
computer you will never know. Kasi if you’re hands-on parang ano nalang you have to
explore nalang kung anong mga gamit noon. Pero marami pa akong dapat malaman
kasi yung gamit ko is simple ones lang. Pero yung ibang functions wala talaga.
T12: Ako like for example yung parang artista sila sa creative writing ko. So they use
software para parang artista na talaga sila. I partner with other teachers. Siya ang
magtuturo ng technology ako naman sa responsibility nila.

T12: I use projector in preparing my lessons.
In: In instruction maám how do you incorporate the use of technology?
T12: The projector is helpful in using para sa mga bata nag eenjoy sila pag may nakikita sila,
‘ýun lang po.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in the assessment of learning?
T12: Sa projector pa rin po doon aku nag aasess sa kanila.
T12: Enhance [whispers softly] uhhhm…nagpapatulong aku sa..sa mga kasamahan ku sa
trabaho kun may parte ako na nahihirapan ako.
T12: Uhhhm...sa ngayon wala pa po aku sir training na nasalihan regarding sa ICT whether
school or division. Kaya I am telling our ICT coordinator, na sana mag conduct siya ng
training about ICT sa school.
T12: Uhhm...[Laughs] okay naman kaso sana lang ýung mga kagamitan natin is from our
own pocket sana lang at huwag naman po sana na kami teachers lahat.
T12: Yung samahan naming mga teachers yun ang dahilan kung bakit andito pa rin kami.
Why?
T12: Uhhm…as of now wala pa akong plan kasi no choice, unless may magandang offer.
T12: Uhhm..I see my self as a teacher na who uses ICT na makakamotivate sa mga bata in
the use of projector. Visual talaga sila.
T12: For me it is very important since it is the students today are 21 st century learners.

T13: Okay the way I am sure with; we are now in the 21st century wherein students can
easily grasp all about technology. In other words, integrating ICT from day to day
discussion makes it easier for teachers. Easier in the sense that even powerpoint
presentation madali. In addition, madali din maka pick-up ng mga bata even the
videos, videos, pictures madali nilang matutunan.

T13: Challenges is you must learn and you have to learn. And one thing that gives me credit
when it comes to discussion is that previous lessons are easily opened and related.
paranf dire-diresto agad. Opening the previous lessons then ipasok agad ang kasunod
so madali lang no need for you to bring any instructional materials just to post it
anywhere else. Even all your quizzes nad all examinations andiyan na. Pindot ka nalang
then iyon na.
T13: Iniistorbo ko ang mga collegues ko [Laughs]. If I am not familiar with the command,
then I’m looking for my colleagues to ask for assistance. Yun lang ang solusyon ko. I
have to look for experts. I don’t want to be a know it all ‘di ba?
T13: Uhhm… I also remind the students their responsibilities when they are online.
Promoting awareness also that using a computer is not really a joke. They must handle
it properly.

T13: I only download videos and projector when preparing instructional materials for my
class.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology instruction?
T13: I show the videos that I have downloaded online to my class using a projector, then
that’s it.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in assessing the learning of students?
T3: Same lang, I use projector flash ko lang sa screen, then base doon papabasa ku sa mga
bata or ipaview ko sa kanila ang ginawa ko or yung dinownload kun a video and with
the use of rubrics inaassess ko na sila.
T13: Uhhm…nagtatanong ako sa mga co-teachers ko, minsan self-study gaya ng pag search
sa internet. Kung minsan nanonood ako sa youtube ng mga tutorials.
T13: Trainings? wala pa, kahit isa…maging sa school level wala din akong training na related
sa ICT na conduct simula ng naassign ako dito. Pero...pero... I want to learn more kung
papano i-integrate ang ICT into my lessons. Uhmmm...Sa ngayon experience lang ang
pinanghahawkan ko.
T13: Uhhm…[Laughs] so far in our organization we work as a team, we work as one. In
terms of ICT, I see to it that I tap experts to help the team. As for DepEd medyo ano
lang ako…parang naku-kulang ako sa support, kasi most of the teachers has zero
knowledge on ICT.
T13: Uhhm…reasons for staying in this current organization, maybe, because of our
bonding. Yung ang main reason why I’m staying on this organization. Without those
bond. Siguro di ako magtatagal in this organization.
Why?
T13: If there are opportunities to go outside, I will go out. I have to be honest. I can’t find a
reason to stay from this organization. Yes. Aside from what I have mentioned earlier -
our bond.
T13: Nowadays, yung listening skiils ng mga student is very short, so I need to be a
motivator of ICT sa mga bata.
T13: My perception in the importance of ICT is that it gives way to the advancement of
learning.

T14:
For me its creative and the students na fofocus talaga nira. They really are set hiton
imu teaching strategies. Kasi kun easier ha teacher, kumbaga nakukuha nya ang
attention ng mga students. Kasi it’s visual and big letters. Ngan design talaga hit imu
powerpoint na mattract ang mga bata.
lessons?
T14: For me it’s easier because it’s my field of study, so, madali lang talaga, hindi aku
nahihirapan since I am familiar hiton Microsoft Office apps. Since I am teaching ICT to
the students. Mga bata is alam nila, but they don’t kung anu ang gamit noon. Let’s say
they are familiar with PowerPoint makikita nila pero hindi nila alam how to use it. So
follow up nalang aku sa kanila. Basic lang kasi nowadays kasi mga offices ngayon wala
nang makinilya so they need to how to use computers pati sap ag encode at excel. Di
din nila alam pano gamitin ang excel.
T14: For me I… I motivate the students by telling them not to be afraid of computers,
sianasabihan ku din sila ang appliances nasisira yan. Pag nasira na gianagamit normal
lang yan. And then kahit takot sila tinatry ko sila mismo ang gagamit, kahit wala
kaming laboratory.
T14: Uhhm...mayroon kami lecture about the proper use of internet, good netizen, mga
advantanges at dis advatages, tapos mga social media pano gamitin. ano dapat nilang
gawin at anu mga dapat nilang gawin sa social media kasi yun ang trending ngayon. So
follow up lang. Alam nman nila gamitin pero di nila alam ang mga rules and regulation.

T14: Ahh…Sa pagprepare ng instructional materials, projector lang gamit. Then I download
videos on online for my class to view.
T14 I presenting my lessons, I use video presentations, PowerPoint and projector. Then
habang nagpplay ang video pinopause ko paminsan minsan para mag discuss ng topics
na nasa video para mas maintindihan ng mga studyante.
In: How about assessment? do you incorporate the use of technology assessment?
T14 Assessment? I use Cayote kasi kita mo agad ang result. Gumagamit din aku ng google
drive. Dala dala ko ang…ang…ano ba tawag ‘don? Yung..data internet ko sa bahay,
dinadala ko sa school, halimbawa mga essay, projects, save to the portal nalang. Sa
google drive, share nila nag folder nila sa akin. Bibigay lang ako ng deadline until
midnight lang.
T14 Uhhhm…I ask my colleagues…workmates to assist me whenever I encounter problem.
Uhhm...I also ask my colleagues to practice new trends that I have seen online for the
betterment of the team also. Para sharing din kung sino ang may alam para pantay
pantay.
T14 Pagdating sa training wala pa po akong nasalihan na related sa ICT. Kung anu man ang
mayroon kami it is just because of our experience noong college kami. Pero kahit wala
kaming training ay gusto din naman naming mag conduct ng sariling training naming sa
school tungkol sa ICT, maybe next year.
T14: Ahhh…So-so, parang okay lang…problema lang kasi is kulang talaga siya sa facilities.
T14: Siguro is yung bonding naming, yun ang main reason kun bakit nananatili pa rin kami
sa DepEd.
Why?
T14: Andito na ako eh, mahirap nang lumabas.
T14: Prang di ka na pagod, relax ka na sa paggamit ng ICT sa classroom at enjoying siya kasi
medyo nare-relieve ako ng konti sa trabaho.
T14: Important opportunity kasi hindi ka na mahuhuli with the millennials you feel that you
are proud of yourself. At saka pag di ka marunong ma bebehind aku sa mga students
ko.

T15: Uhhm…I feel great when integrating ICT since it is able to help me in my
lessons…discussion. Great…also since I am able to look for materials that would make
my lesson interesting. With ICT, I am able to do many things and my students enjoy
the different activities that I prepared for them.

T15: One of the challenges that I have encountered is that the school doesn’t have an
internet connection. Second is when I have problem with my device...and I have to
look for ano…ahhh…someone who is…someone who knows stuffs about computers to
get it repaired. Probably that one of my biggest challenge.
T15: What I did was I shared my own personal hotspot to my students in order for us to
proceed with the activity. Ahh…for my second challenge I ask someone who is
knowledgeable on repairing computers then sometimes I ask them also to teach me
how to fix similar problems. So that when I encounter it again it would be me who will
fix my computer.
T15 Ahh…I promote responsibility to my student sharing to them the concept of
In…Inte…ano ba adto…Intellectual Property Rights. I also tell them that when they use
a material or idea from another person or organization acknowledge them as a sign of
respect.

T15 In the development of instructional materials, I prepare different activities and games
like Minecraft, Kahoot! and Plickers. With those applications I use them in my lessons,
like for, formative assessments, games, and simulations.
In: How do you incorporate the use of technology in instructions?
T15 Uhhm…As for instruction…I use Minecraft by letting my students create a scenario like
a volcanic area, parang simulation kung saan may volcano na pumutok.
In: How about in assessing the learning of the students? How do you incorpotrate ICT?
T15: I use Kahoot! and Plickers in assessing the lesson that I have presented to my students
in a formative way or simply just for fun…to…to… show to the students
that…that...there is also a fun side in learning.

T15: Ahhh…through videos, I also enhance my knowledge in ICT by logging in to the
different communities online which discusses the different techniques in using
technology in the classroom. I also ask my colleagues to sit down with me in learning
these new techniques. Aside from that I join different Facebook community about
teaching with technology to gain more insights about how and what tools are needed
to improve the quality of learning through the use of ICT.
T15: My trainings and attitudes have helped me in using ICT in the classroom by enhancing
my competence in using ICT. With those trainings, I learn new ways to promote
technology in the classroom and paves way to a more interactive classroom.

T15: How do I feel about my organization? [laughs] it’s quite a tough question...[laughs]. My
current organization, is somewhat so-so, there are things that I like in my current
organization like the feel that there is a need for you to improve yourself or you’ll be
left out.
T15: Things that would make me want to stay in my current organization is perhaps the
peers that I have right now. Then my salary. Other than that...is that...I... I have an
acess to schools’ internet connection and also the signal is good also for mobile
phones, If I transfer it mught be that there is already.
Why?
T15: Perhaps…things that would make want leave my current organization, perhaps a
lateral entry to Higher education like in SUC’s. Because in DepEd there are too much
paper works. There is also the strong politics that is inside the system. The
bureaucracy is also being a factor that should be considered.
T15: I view myself as a teacher advocate on ICT, I promote the use of ICT in my class since it
where the students are. I am teaching also my students the in the use of mobile
phones in class, I am give then the idea that mobile phones will not be only be used for
social media and the like. I am showing them that phones can also be used in class.
T15: I view ICT as a tool that would aid students in reaching greater heights. And with ICT it
can help attain the different 21st century skills that are needed by the real world today.
And it is a must for us teachers that we should teach our students the importance of
technology.
