Title of the Project Effect the different types of bracings in the lateral load analysis of steel
Identified outrigger floor system in tall buildings.

Aim: To study the performance of X-braced and V-braced steel outrigger floor system
subjected to lateral forces.

Objective(s): 1- To analyses a building frame subjected to gravity loads and lateral forces.
(Minimum three) 2- To analyses a building frame with X-braced outrigger floor system.
3- To analyses a building frame with V-braced outrigger floor system.
4- To compere the most efficient system in terms of wind forces and seismic force
analysis.

Methodology: a) Building plan and geometry:

Building plan considered as:

-Plan dimensions 20m × 20m

-Number of storeys (G+ 45)

-Outrigger placed at every 10th storey

-Typical storeys height 3.5m

-Total height of building 161m

b) Different types of structural models to be considered for study

Model 1: Simple RC bay frame

Model 2: Bay frame with steel braced core and steel outrigger X-braced

Model 3: Bay frame with steel braced core and steel outrigger V-braced
