Children (Audience) will categorize animals according to continents (Behavior) by using a world map
and animals’ figures (Condition) which animal lives in which continent in 90 % of the time.

A world map, 26 animals’ figures, 26 play card which are involved the pictures of animals, names
and where they live.

World map game which includes 7 continents, 26 figures of animals and 26 game cards
GoConqr – mind map for evaluation.

Individual Learning Activities Each child recognizes the animals and attach it
right continents.
Group Learning Activities The game can be played with whole group.

Summary
It’s a student-centered discussion and game activity. In this activity teacher provides a big carpet
world map that has detachable continents and animals. Students are expected to detach continents
firstly, and then they take an animal card to match and attach the animals according to their
habitats/continents.
Measurement & Evaluation
Teacher asks children the questions such as:
Descriptive Question
- What is the game about?
- Which animals are in the game?
- Which animal lives in which continent?

Objectives Question
- Are there more animals in which continent?
- Do you have trouble when you remember which animals live in which continent?
- How many continents are in the world? Can you say the continents’ names?
Measurement & Assessment Activities for The children see the mind map which is without
Individual Performance animals’ picture on Gocongr and say which animal
lives in which continent.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for The game helps children to learn the animals’
Group Performance habitats easier.
Homework (optional) As a homework, teacher send a survey prepared by
Google Forms. At this survey, students are asked to
match the animals with its continents.
Explanation
If the computer would not work, teacher can give a hard copy of mind map which is prepared by
teacher before the class.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
Teacher comes the classroom with the game which is prepared by teacher before the class. She put it
the game on the floor and allows children to search the game. After children look at the game,
teacher tells how the game will play. Teacher says “I will put the animals’ figures and cards on the
ground and you come and chose one card around others and says the animal’s name, if you do not
remember I will say where it is living and you attach the animal figure to right continent. If you do
not understand please ask. If you understand let’s play the game.” Every child come and chose one
card and say the name, find the animal’s figure that around the animals’ figures and attach it on the
right continent. If children would not remember which animal lives in which continent, teacher can
look at the card and says the continent in which the animal lives. After the game teacher asks
children about the game and what is about. In addition, teacher prepares before the lesson a mind
map which prepared by using Goconqr to evaluate children’s learning and the mind map does not
include animals’ pictures. There are only continents’ pictures and teacher asks children which
animals live in which continent. Children are expected to answer this question by remembering their
learning on the game. Teacher, also, can print the animals’ pictures to show children or s/he can use
the play cards which are used in the game if it is necessary for children.
