Activity 5.2.1: Key words into sentences

Key words are the important words in a text.

Look for the key words in the text below and underline them.

When you are taking notes at a meeting, look for the key words. The key words are
the main, or most important words in the text that tell you most about the topic that is
being talked about. You need to practise taking notes. You can do this by writing
down the main words that you understand during a conversation. You don’t need to
write small words like and, will, a, the, but. The more important words like meeting,
write, notes, topic; should tell you more about the conversation.
