1. Authorization letter need not be given for in-patient treatment. But employees can avail INPATIENT
TREATMENT ON PAYMENT BASIS in these hospitals. Reimbursement will be in CGHS rates/packages.

1. All Retired and serving employees to follow the below mentioned instructions very strictly when
availing BSNL MRS Facility.

Retired/wor~ing official has to inform DE MRS about inpatient admission in any hospital, so that visit report
c~n be submitted by DE MRS, which is essential for settlement of claims. If intimation is not given. such claims
wIll no~ be proc~ssed. Intimation to be given thro'phone or SMS on 944 501 8786 and 94861 01940 (For
Chennai TO officials], for both empanelled and payment basis hospitals.

2. All working Employee has to inform in writing to the controlling officer about availingl)1patient
treatment. The DE/CAO has to fax the intimation letter to DE(MRS) % DGM (Admn) for VISIT
REPORTsubmission on FAX- 2640 2376 or through SMSto DE MRS. However the inpatient claims
will be restricted to REVISEDCGHSRATESonly.

3. If intimation not given to DE (MRS),visit report cannot be made during the time of admission and the
inpatient bill cannot be processed for payment.

4. For working / Retired employees taking inpatient treatment in Erstwhile CPT SSAareas like CPT,
KCM,Tiruvellore and Tiruttani hospitals as above, Intimation to be given to CPT SSAarea DEs only.
The official has to inform that area DE about admission during admission time, so that Concerned
AREA DEhas to visit the hospitals and visit report to be submitted to AO MRSin all in-patient cases.

S. All Retired officials has to obtain Authorization letter from SDE (welfare) only for Chennai city area
empanelled hospitals.
