Introduction

Fruits are very common in our locality and most often because of its abundance, there
are times when fruits are just thrown away. But medical and health practitioners are
saying that soda and other forms of commercial beverages are bad for human health
and are considered to be among the culprits of lifestyle diseases like diabetes and
hypertension. So fruit shakes can be a good alternative

Focus and Direction

Our focus is to provide a healthy alternative to commercial drinks and beverages that
are not healthy for the body in order to provide students with healthy alternatives so that
they will be away from diseases specially the so - called lifestyle diseases.

Sources of Capital

The source of capital for this business is from the savings of the proponents and from
funds borrowed from banking institutions giving assistance with low interests.

We will start with a capital of 10 thousand pesos to cover the expenses for our permits,
equipment, cups and bottles, and fruits.

Ownership

The ownership of this shake drink retail business will be shares among us three friends.
Shawn Rey S. Salvaloza, Genaro M. Cabrera and Kent S. Manimbayan.
From our income saving as members of the New Lucena Local Youth Band, we are
going to start this business from a single outlet aiming to expand in three years time.

Startup requirements will be financed through owner investments.

Good Network

Our product will be sold in canteens of the schools and the space selection will be
chosen based upon the following criteria like school, distance, access and number of
students.

These qualities are consistent with Shake Drink’s goal of providing a top quality drink
experience. We want good feedback to be our best form of marketing, where our
customers value our brand as something exciting and cannot wait to tell their friends
and neighbors.

Shake Drink will directly compete with several bottle drinks inside the chosen school
canteen including Coke, Pepsi, Calamansi Juice, Pineapple Juice and other artificial
drinks.

Legal Requirements

What we need to start the business legally is business permit from the local government
unit. And perhaps approval of our product from concerned agencies like the food and
drug administration.

Degree of Risks

Among the risks we shall encounter is the source of fresh fruits when common ones are
not in season and how we are going to preserve these fruits for a longer period of time
without the use of preservatives.
Availability of Resources

Fruits are very common in the locality. So we will use the fruits which are in season and
fruits which are attractive to students so that they will patronize our products.

Personnel

Fruit Shake is the creative idea of its three founders: Kent Manimbayan, Shawn Rey
Salvaloza and Genaro Cabrera. As a start, it is a small in nature, it only requires a
simple organizational structure. Implementation of this organization form calls for all four
individuals to make all major management decisions in addition to monitoring all other
business activities.

As we expand into multiple markets, each will have a delivery in charge.
