kinabuhi ug kalimpyo sa kasingkasing. Ang asul nga bakos nagsimbolo sa
pagkamatinud anon, tiunay, pagkamalahutayon ug katarong

BLESSING OF A HABIT

P: The Lord be with you.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus Christ, who in becoming man for our salvation deigned to assume our vesture of
flesh, bless this habit with a holy benediction, for your servant is to wear it in thanksgiving to
you and in veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pour out on her we pray, your holy
blessing, so that when she first puts on this garb, which is like that of a religious, she may
obtain, through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary your grace to protect her from every evil
of mind or body. We ask this of you who live and reign forever and ever.

All: Amen.

It is sprinkled with holy water.

BLESSING OF A CINCTURE
(To be worn in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary)

Lord Jesus Christ, we beg you to bless this cincture; and grant that she who is to wear it may,
by the help and protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your mother, be shielded from every
danger and obtain health of body and soul. We ask this of you who live and reign forever and
ever.

All: Amen.

P: “Receive this habit in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes whom your group
has a great devotion since from the beginning of its foundation. Wear it faithfully and
keep it with fitting veneration that the pious and Immaculate Queen of heaven may
protect and defend you; and repeating the marvels of her love, may she mercifully
obtain for you whatever you suppliantly ask of God, so that in life and in death you may
rest happily in her maternal embrace. Amen
