A Lesson Plan in Analyzing Elements of Drama

Learning Competency: Narrate events chronologically/arrange ideas logically based on


a material viewed. (EN7CV-II-11)

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Determine the sequence of the drama;
2. Defend each side why woman or man should wash the dishes; and
3. Write the elements of the drama of “Why woman Wash the Dishes.”

II. Subject Matter:


Topic: Identifying the Elements of the Drama and sequencing the drama “Why
woman wash the Dishes”

Materials:
Video of Drama Laptop
Power point Presentation LCD Projector
Manila paper Speaker
Pentel pen Scotch Tape
LCD Screen

III. Procedure
A. Lesson Proper
a. Activity
1. The teacher will give each students a colored stick and group them
according to their colored sticks. Introduce the activity “Arrange the
Elements of the Drama”
2. the teacher will give a jumbled step of making an element of a drama
and will let the students arranged it.
3. Each group will arrange the following words; Setting, Characterization,
Plot, Expository, Conflict, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action,
Denouement, Resolution.
C. Analysis
1. How did you find the activity?
2. What you have noticed in the activity?
3. Did you have any insight on what will out topic for today?
4. Can you enumerate again the elements of the drama?

D. Abstraction
1. The teacher will introduce the topic in the power point presentation.
2. The teacher will explain each word that was given on the activity.
3. The teacher will let the students watch the drama why woman wash the
dishes.
4. The teacher will ask the students what did they understand about the
drama.
5. The teacher will ask the students if there are any other superstitious belief
that they know.
6. The teacher will ask the students if they have questions about the drama.

E. Application
The teacher will let the students work according to their group. The teacher will
give manila paper and pentel pen for each group so that they can be able to write
their answers on it. the teacher will let the students give the elements of the story
of the drama and let them discuss it in front of the class.

IV. Evaluation
1. What are the elements of the drama? Explain each briefly.
2. In your own opinion who should was the dishes? The man or woman? Explain.

V. Assignment
In a one whole sheet of paper write the elements of the drama “Sa Pula Sa Puti”.
