language.
Performance Standard The learners shall be able to produce short paragraphs or vignettes using imagery ,
diction, figures of speech, and specific experiences.
I. Learning Competencies/ 1. Differentiate imaginative writing from among other forms of writing.
Objective/s: 2. Cull creative ideas from experiences.

Before the Lesson Motivation
Preliminary Activities 1. Watching a video clip which shows societal problems in the society.

During the Lesson  Group the students into five and let them identify the societal problems
from the clip that they have watched. Assign rapporteur, secretary and
leader in each group.
 Assign each group to observe at least one problem from the video clip in
the actual setting of their community. The group must be given one day to
conduct the said observation. Further instructions for the activity must be
given.
 Let the students identify the purpose, methods, and possible solutions to the
problem of the conduct of their investigation and observation as a guide for their
concept paper.
 Ask each leader to provide their peer a copy of their draft for evaluation and
critiquing purposes.
 Have the students enumerate the different parts of a concept paper and its
purpose.
After the Lesson In a form of power point presentation, let the students present to the class their
EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT final output of the concept paper where their chosen societal problem will be
their subject and which will be evaluated through the use of a rubric.

ASSIGNMENT Define position paper.


REMARKS Not carried out. It needs another meeting for the realization of the power point
presentation due to the conduct of the investigation and observation in their
community.

REFLECTION 4 out of 43 students need remediation.
