THE PARENTS…CONSPIRE WITH THE COMMUNITY AND STAKEHOLDERS AND WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THE LEARNERS”…
This philosophy in teaching came into life with my
experiences as a classroom teacher for 21 years now. Being assigned to different schools with different cultures and beliefs about how to educate the learners was a very enriching experience for me. I have tried to make a difference in order to share what I have so that learners will continuously come back to school and learn. Doing the extra mile to convince parents and other stakeholders so that they will participate in educating their children in school was one of my priorities. From the traditional way of teaching to facilitating the learning process has brought me to so many possibilities of making a difference for my learners. I have always been eager to explore and learn new trends in teaching so that my learners can become more competitive and adept to the fast changes in the society. I have dreamed of having a classroom not only conducive and friendly to learners but a classroom that will change the lives of my learners into better lives where they can become the best persons they wanted to be where their skills, talents, and values will be enhanced appropriately and accordingly. From what I learned in my graduate and post graduate studies, I am sure that I can be of great help in fulfilling my dream classroom for the learners… That dream classroom will be equipped with technology such as smart TV with internet connectivity, manipulatives, educational toys, computer unit with printer to harness the skills and talents of my learners and they can be able to compete globally. A reading corner, first aid and emergency kits, clean and genderized toilet, potable water system, a regular feeding program, safe and with equally brilliant and well-trained teachers will surely make my learners want to regularly come back to school. Academic and extra – curricular activities will be conducted regularly so that learners abilities and talents will be harnessed to the fullest. Indeed, making a difference for the learners entails one great responsibility. A risk-taker instructional leader must be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills, commitment, compassion, faith, and a strong conviction so that all the dreams and hopes to make a difference in the lives of the learners will come into reality.
