Which study option is right for you? Choose how to study for your Glion MBA.
The core MBA courses will develop your leadership skills and strategic management competencies for access to upper-management positions
within the hospitality, tourism, and service industries. Each MBA study option includes the core courses, plus a number of specific courses,
specialization tracks, that adapt the curriculum for different educational and professional backgrounds. In the end, you will leave Glion with
an accredited, industry-recognized MBA, plus the confidence, skills, and qualifications to take your career to the next level.
The campus-based MBA study option is designed for graduates who have a bachelor's degree—preferably in hospitality, tourism, or event
management—or a business degree or equivalent qualification, and minimum two years of work experience in hospitality or related business
in a supervisory or management position. This program takes one year of full-time study to complete, on campus in Switzerland or London.
The hybrid MBA study option is designed for students who have two years' work experience in the hospitality industry and want the
flexibility of studying online. The program begins on campus and is taught partly on campus and partly online. This program takes
approximately one and a half to two years to complete.
The online MBA study option is tailored to the development of executive talent for the global hospitality industry. It gives them the skills
and the expertise they need to advance their career, without having to put their life on hold. Entirely online, the program is highly flexible
with the possibility of studying at any time.

"For me, the best thing about the MBA is the methodology used throughout the program. It
is extremely interesting how students are guided but not taught; teachers give guidelines and
students do the research. In other words, Glion gives MBA students the tools to learn about
and conduct research into anything they need or want to. Due to the good job offers I have
been receiving, I may confirm that studying at Glion has been a very valuable investment for
my future–even allowing me to skip levels in the job hierarchy."

"What’s great about a hospitality degree is that you come out with experience, other programs
don’t do that. Sometimes people go into a master’s without experience and then even with their
degree they must start at the bottom, although they probably have the skills to grow and build
their careers faster. In the MBA, you also build the capacity to learn, adapt and advance much
faster. It is important to come into the degree with experience as it gives you the know-how,
and it makes you work hard, but then the MBA makes you work harder, you learn to push big
projects, to complete lengthy papers, etc. It is sort of the same environment as a hospitality
world with the fast-paced environment.”

my ABP for Kempinski on a very interesting topic: how the current Kempinski sales process
across Europe impacts the top line. The ABP developed my business acumen and taught me
how to conduct research in a pragmatic way.
This MBA has helped me to advance my career in the hospitality industry. The ABP gave me
the opportunity to enter the Kempinski Hotels Group. I started with an entry-level position in

The program focuses on developing lifelong learning skills, research capabilities, professional development competencies, advanced knowledge of
hotel and business functions, and the strategic thinking necessary to plan and implement at the senior management level. The industry placement
period will ensure that students can also demonstrate their ‘hands-on’ ability, thus enabling them to be quickly recognized as high-level industry
professionals.

We find that Glion students demonstrate this effectively, and therefore they assimilate very well
into our hotels and other more specialist roles we may have, that is, at our head office locations.
We have seen great project work undertaken by a number of Glion graduates, all having a
direct impact on driving our business forward. We are seeing new technologies emerging in
the social space, and students have offered new direction in how to leverage these trends."

"Glion gave me the opportunity to start a global network, apart from my professional
contacts, that has been of great use so far. This really diverse and international environment
(27 nationalities in a class of 52!) helped me develop myself to see people for who they
are, accept differences, and accept some really unfamiliar ideas that I was introduced to
by my classmates, which I found astonishing. Did Glion help me to get my job? Definitely.
The job opportunity was posted by Glion’s career center - and the academic background
that I gained from Glion, plus having graduated from such a well-reputed school, definitely
gave me a boost during the shortlisting."
