CINNAMON ROLLS

INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH​ ​1ST​


​ TIME TO DEMO TABLE

NEED TRAY

1 T. & ¾ tsp. Instant Yeast ​-Put in Sauce Cup

¼ C. Warm Water (110 degrees)​-Do this back in kitchen with water thermometer

1 C. Buttermilk or (1 T. Vinegar & 1 C. Milk)​-Liquid Measuring Cup/Measuring


Spoons

2 Eggs

3 ½ C. All-Purpose Flour​-Medium Metal Bowl/1C. & ½ C. Dry Measuring


Cups/Butter Knife

3 T. Softened Butter​-Small Colored Bowl ​20 SECONDS IN MICROWAVE

3 T. White Sugar​-White Sauce Bowl/Measuring Spoons/Butter Knife

1 ½ tsp. Baking Powder​-White Sauce Bowl/Measuring Spoons/Butter Knife

1 ½ tsp. Salt​-White Sauce Bowl/Measuring Spoons/Butter Knife

DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING DOUGH

1. In the mixer bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let it stand until creamy,
about ​10 minutes​. ​CALL ME OVER TO CHECK. (Host should keep time.)
2. Combine into the yeast mixture the buttermilk, the eggs, softened butter,
sugar, baking powder, salt and ​2 cups​ of the flour and stir well.
3. Stir in the remaining flour​, ½ cup at a time​, beating well after adding. Dough
should remain soft and slightly sticky. ​(Go get extra flour for kneading.)
4. When the dough has pulled together, turn it onto a lightly floured surface
and knead until smooth and elastic, about ​10 minutes.​ ​(Host should keep
time.)

NEED TRAY

1T. & 1 ½ tsp. Softened Butter​-Colored Bowl​ ​MICROWAVE FOR 20 SECONDS

¼ C. White Sugar​-2​nd​ Colored Bowl/ ¼ C. Dry Measuring Cup/Butter Knife

1 ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon​-Put in with Sugar in 2​nd​ Colored Bowl/Measuring


Spoons/Butter Knife

DIRECTIONS FOR DOUGH FILLING

1. After you are done kneading, ​divide the dough in half​ and roll each half into
a 12x7 inch ​rectangle​ shape on counter top.
2. Divide mixture in ½ so both pieces are even. ​Spread each half with
softened butter ​(Use Pastry Brush)​ and then sprinkle on white sugar and
cinnamon.
3. Roll up halves of the dough, beginning at the wide side. Seal well by
pinching seams. ​(GET A SHARP BUTCHER KNIFE FROM DEMO TABLE)​Cut
each roll into 4 slices.

INGREDIENTS FOR COATING PAN​ ​3RD​


​ TIME TO THE DEMO TABLE ​Grab a pan

NEED TRAY

¼ C. Butter​-Colored Bowl (Needs to be totally melted.) 30 SECONDS IN


MICROWAVE

¼ C. Brown Sugar​-2​nd​ Colored Bowl/ ¼ C. Dry Measuring Cup/Butter Knife

PACK DOWN

DIRECTIONS FOR COATING PAN

1. Coat each baking pan with melted butter and brown sugar. Place the 8
slices in the pan; leave a small space in between each roll if possible.
2. Cover with foil and let it rise overnight. ​WRITE GROUP NAME ON FOIL.
DAY 2 DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.


2. Uncover cinnamon rolls and let sit until oven is ready.
3. Bake for 30 minutes. ​Check at 20 minutes but please remember that you
don’t want the center to be doughy because it means it is raw.

INGREDIENTS & DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING ICING

1 C. Powdered Sugar​-Small Metal Bowl/1 C. Dry Measuring Cup/Butter Knife

1 tsp. Vanilla​-Small Metal Bowl/Measuring Spoons

Water​-Measuring Spoons

● Keep adding water until you have the correct consistency.
