Summer School

Students who may require summer school courses will be notified by their school

6 WAYS TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH THIS SUMMER

1. Get Moving- Exercise is a great way to defuse anxiety

2. Set a Goal- Challenge yourself to train for a race or take on a new activity.

3. Plan a Getaway- A change of scenery can help you unwind and curb anxious thoughts. An escape from the hustle and bustle of every day can do a world of good.

4. Get Outside- Exposure to sunlight and fresh air is known to increase levels of serotonin and reduce anxiety. Take up a new hobby outdoors.

5. Practice mindfulness and Meditation- Take a few minutes every day to focus on the sights and sounds of what’s happening around you.

6. Make Good Use of Vacation Time- Use some of the time off for self-care. Pick up a good book you’ve been meaning to read, hang out by the pool or meet a friend for lunch. Adding some fun and relaxation to your summer can help you reboot and reduce stress.
