INTRODUCTION ( minutes)
1. Preliminary Activities
2. The teacher will ask the students if they have knowledge about disasters and disaster
risk.
3. Teacher will let the students read the learning objectives (Read Aloud)
Enumerate natural events that may turn into hazards
Distinguish a hazard from a natural phenomenon
Explain how a hazard causes a disaster
1. Bakit daw ang Pilipinas ay isa sa mga world’s most disaster-prone countries?
2. Kailan mo masasabi ang isang natural na penomena ay nagiging peligro sa tao?
Halimbawa: May bahay
3. Ano-ano mostly ang mga disaster na mangyayari sa Pilipinas?
-Mostly lindol, pagputok ng bulkan ang mga nangyayari sa Pilipinas dahil nga malapit tayo sa Ring of Fire which is at the edge of
dynamic tectonic plate. At malapit din tayo sa western edge ng Pacific na kung saan dito nangyayari ang mga nakakatakot at
napakalakas na mga bagyo.
