Architecture
Version: 1.0
A single version of the truth record on every master entity such as product, customer,
supplier and site is generated by MDM. All transactional, analytical and operational
systems are fed by this master data across the enterprise.
Further drill down and granular analysis can be done directly on the master data.
Following diagram shows the major layers in the Oracle MDM architecture.
The Data Governance layer consists of MDM based solutions for Governance.
The MDM Applications layer consists of all operational pre-built MDM Data Hubs
and shared services and analytical MDM applications ex: Hyperion.
Enterprise Data quality layer consists of Oracle Data quality tools for enrichment
and validation of data.
Oracle Customer Hub is a customer data integration (CDI) solution that enables
organizations to centralize information from heterogeneous systems, creating a single
view of customer information that can be leveraged across all functional departments
and analytical systems.
Oracle Site Hub enables a business to have a unified view of all aspects of sites in a
central place. As a data hub—it provides the capability to consolidate site information
into a master repository, govern the master data, provide abilities the life-cycle, and
provide views of related information.
Oracle Supplier Hub empowers applications with the ability to unify and share critical
information about an organization's supply base. Consolidated supplier information
enables companies to quickly onboard, evaluate and manage suppliers.
The product families use the following common core framework and infrastructure for
Oracle Fusion Applications:
Oracle Enterprise Scheduler enables you to manage and schedule jobs for Oracle
Fusion Applications.
Oracle Enterprise Crawl and Search Framework (ECSF) enables Oracle Fusion
Applications Search for performing full-text searches securely and simultaneously
against multiple logical business objects. Any application that connects to multiple
data sources or manages a significant amount of unstructured (non-database)
information—or both—needs advanced search capabilities so that application users
can easily locate and take action on data that is relevant to them.
Oracle Data Integrator extracts, transforms, and loads data for the product
families.
Oracle HTTP Server provides a Web listener for applications and the framework
for hosting static and dynamic pages and applications over the Web. Based on
the proven technology of the Apache HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server includes
significant enhancements that facilitate load balancing, administration, and
configuration.
Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (Oracle SES) provides a search engine that
crawls the searchable objects in the Oracle Fusion Applications and indexes
them as documents. When the Oracle Fusion Applications user issues a search
query,
Oracle WebCenter, an integrated set of components with which you can create
social applications, enterprise portals, collaborative communities, and composite
applications, built on a standards-based, service-oriented architecture.
