Abstract -
System is to improve the efficiency of the faculty management system by reducing the overall time and cost used to create
documents and retrieve information. The faculty management system has been developed to override the problems prevailing in the
practical manual system. This project is supported to eliminate and in some cases reduce the hardships faced in existing manual
system. Moreover this project is designed for particular need of organisation To carry out operations in smooth and effective
manner.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
The idea of working on this concept came up when a lot of
Paper work was needed for the faculties whenever they
have apply for further studies or exams. Every time they
wanted to apply they had to submit all the doucuments.
LITERATURE SURVEY

MOTIVATION
 Universities face difficulties in managing
faculty details such as qualification details,
pan card, adhaar card etc... Everytime they
have to provide hard copy of certificates, it
is difficult to carry papers everywhere and
every time so, a dynamic web based
application can fulfil this requirement for
easy access of information about the
faculty and can also store details of recent
activities. This acts as drive for storing
details.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
 Every University, whether being small or
big, has challenges to overcome and
managing the information of faculty. Every
faculty system has different faculty needs;
therefore we design an exclusive project
that is adapted to your managerial
requirements. This is designed to assist in
strategic planning, and will help you ensure
that your organisation is equipped with
right level of information and a detail for

 your future goals. The main objective is to
reduce the paper work.

METHODOLOGY
We created a dynamic web project using jsp for server side
communication and HTML ,CSS for frontend interface.

JSP pages include JDBC code for communication with

MYSQL database .HTML tags are used to display the result
set of SQL queries.

Finally, images are uploaded into the database and retrieved

using JSP pages .

TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENT

Hardware requirement:

 Processor - Pentium -III and above

 RAM - 1 GB (min)
 Hard Disk - 50 GB (min)

Software requirement:

 Windows XP and above

 SQL 2008
 Visual Studio 2010
 Eclipse (JAVA IDE)

Working of the project

APPLICATIONS
 This system can be used by all
faculties at same time without any
problems.
 Faculties can update data at any point
of time.
 Faster,easier and efficient access to
data.
 Reduces the paper work for each
event .

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Advantages
 This allow faculties to store their documents in the form
of image files in database and access anytime.
 This is faster and reliable compared to old existing
system.

This project helps faculties to easily access their
details. Our project is only humble venture to
satisfy the needs to manage project work. Several
user friendly coding has been adopted. This
package shall prove an efficient package in
satisfying all the needs for schools and colleges. At
the end we can conclude that we have made our efforts
on following points:

 A description of the background and context of

the project and its relation to work already
done in area.
 Made statements of the aims and objectives of
the project.
 The description of objective, motivation and
applications.
