SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

IN
ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
1. Define Management.
2. Identify the several functions of management.
3. Describe the meaning of each functions of management.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

 Content: Management
 Reference: Business Organization and Management
( Pages 2-3)
 Materials: Visual Aid, Pictures,Cutting Letters, Cutting Words, Cartolina and
Permanent marker

III. PROCEDURE

 Prayer
 Checking of Attendance
 Setting KBI

A. ENGAGE
1. Present to the students a picture representing/resembling management.
 Group Activity- (Fix Me)-What is Management?
Divide students into 4 groups. Each group will be given a cartolina, permanent marker
and an envelope containing jumbled letters of the word Management. Once they figure out the
word, they will paste it unto the cartolina and write a brief idea about the word. They will be given
5 minutes to complete their work. Each group will post their work on the board and will choose a
member to explain their output in front.

B. EXPLORE
 Group Activity – (Find Me) - Identifying the several functions of management.
Utilizing the same group formed during the previous activity, give each group another set of
envelope which will contain strips of paper with different words. Five of the words are the functions of
management while some are just words not related to management. They must identify which of the
words is the correct function of management. They will paste the words into the cartolina and write a
brief idea about each function. After the activity they will post their work on the board. They will be
given 10 minutes for this task. They will choose another representative to explain in front as to why
they think those words as functions of management.

C. EXPLAIN
Group representative will explain their group output after the activity in front.
D. ELLABORATE
1. What is Management?
What are the several functions of management?
2. Activity (Pick Me Up)
 Present to the class a small box which will contain strips of paper of either a function or a
meaning of a function. Each group will take turns picking inside the box. They must either
provide the function to the given meaning or provide the meaning to the given function.
The box will rotate among the groups until all the strips of papers are answered.

E. EVALUATION
 Fill in the correct functions of management as well as their meaning in the chart below.
