For the student to complete the craft and follow directions.


Materials Needed to Complete This Activity

Available: Blue paper, yellow paper, green paint, cotton balls, glue

Preparation: ​(What do you need to do to prepare for this activity BEFORE the children
arrive?)

Set out one paper per student, bowls of green paint, and bowls of cotton balls.

Procedures: (In great detail, explain how to complete the activity. Your instructions
should be good enough for someone else to teach the activity if you are not here.)

Children will sit at the table, and use the glue to put on the cotton ball clouds and the tree
trunk. Then their big jag help them paint their hand with the green paint, and stamp it onto the
tree trunk.

Closure/Transition: (How will you end this activity?)

Kids will wash their hands, then place their projects onto the drying rack.

Explain:

The kids completed the craft and followed instructions.

2.​ ​What went well during the activity?


The gluing of the clouds and the tree trunk went well, and the kids were able to keep the paint off of
their clothes.
3.​ ​In what way could you improve the activity?
Some students did the handprint in the wrong direction, so next time i would be clear as to which
direction their hand goes.
