PTA, FACULTY CLUB AND SSG JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 01, S. 2019

A JOINT RESOLUTION REQUESTING HON. MARILYN S. PENTECOSTES,

MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF GONZAGA, TO KINDLY
EXTEND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CAUSE THE CONCRETING OF THE
SCHOOL GROUND AND CONSTRUCTION OF A DRAINAGE SYSTEM AT
GONZAGA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

WHEREAS, Gonzaga National High School is presently improving its physical

facilities so that its more than 1,300 students will feel more comfortable and secured
while inside the school;

WHEREAS, it has always been the vision of the stakeholders of Gonzaga National
High School to be a top-caliber school in terms of infrastructures, facilities,
equipment, academics, sports and socio-cultural;

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to concrete the school ground because it is

always flooded which can be threatening to the students and teachers during
academic hours due to possible aftermaths it may create such as infestation of
dengue-carrying mosquitoes, leptospirosis etc.;

WHEREAS, there is also a need to construct a drainage system after the concreting
of the school ground which will prevent the occurrence of flooding since it will be
directly connected to the drainage system located at L. Baclig St.;

WHEREAS, the Parents and Teachers Association alongside the Faculty Club and the
Supreme Students Government of Gonzaga National High School have unanimously
decided to undertake and prioritize such big project during the school year 2018-
2019 to utilize the ground for the Moving-up Ceremony and the Graduation
Exercises;

WHEREAS, the three organizations due to the meager funds and with the public
knowledge of the “No Collection Policy” by the Department of Education, also
unanimously agreed to exhaust means in the realization of said project through
outsourcing from various agencies and organizations and generous people;

WHEREAS, the officers and members of the Parents Teachers Association, Faculty
Club and the Supreme Students Government of Gonzaga National High School
unanimously agreed to forward a resolution to Hon. Marilyn S. Pentecostes,
Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Gonzaga, to humbly request the allocation of
funds for said project;

WHEREFORE, on motion of Mr. John Rod S. de la Cruz, Senior High School Teacher
II,

BE IT RESOLVED AS IT HEREBY RESOLVE to request Hon. Marilyn S.

Pentecostes, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Gonzaga, to kindly extend ty
financial assistance to Gonzaga National High School to cause the concreting of the
school ground and the construction of a drainage system.

RESOLVED FURTHER that a copy of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the
Municipal Mayor for her information and most appropriate action.
