Reflection: After doing this performance, we felt that most of it went pretty good. However, there are 2 main parts that we need to improve on,
transitions and the ending. Although we have some good individual moves, we think that there could be smoother transitions between each
move, so that our performance can look more connected and professional, which helps improve on the aesthetic of the performance.
First of all, the ending move of the performance could also be worked on. When we were going to set up the move, some of us were in the
wrong position, so we did not have a proper ending, making the performance look unorganized. To solve this problem, we should have decided
on the ending before the assessment date, so that we will have a clearer idea of how the ending is done. The ending was originally just to have
all 4 of us line up in a line and bow, however, we decided before the date of the assessment we would try for a more complex set of moves to
make the performance look more interesting to watch.
We should have also spent more time practicing instead of thinking of ideas. If we practiced more, we would be more familiar with each move,
which makes the performance more organized as well. We also felt that there could be a better form of communication amongst us so that it
would not be so obvious that we were talking, just to make the performance feel more professional.
The timing of a lot of the moves were also wrong. For example, the timing in the one hand high-five with Gavin diving went far. This made the
performance look uncoordinated. To solve this issue, we should have spent more time practicing the moves we already had instead of deciding
on new moves. This way, we can be more familiar with the moves and will not mess up the timing.
