Civics Reflection

The service learning project completed is class in my civics class and at home was done to

improve the major issue of young people that are eligible to both between the ages of 18 to 29

and, persuade them to vote also is to improve the Chicago academy education concerning with

civics knowledge and, I noticed that this project was educational and set a high score of young

voter, voting in this midterm election.

One word that describes my service learning experience is knowledge because I'm not eligible

to vote yet so I noticed the advantage that other people have and I would learn something new

every day and, how the government doesn't have all the power and how democracy works, and

how young people can make a major impact in the government that could help me in my

situation, so young people decide not to vote because they feel that their vote doesn't count and

because the government is corrupt or they just don't have time, but according to an article read

in class the average american watches tv for at least 5 hours a day so people have time to vote

also because people especially young eligible voters are not motivated or dont have the

knowledge enough to know who to vote, for example in the background essay states that most

of the high school student doesn't even know the name of their state's representatives, but me

and m class did not only focus on young people because we noticed that the older you get the

more interested you get in politics are how it affects you more the more you get older for

example in taxes or my responsibilities as a citizen, also how it affects my immigration problem

when it comes to my education by not getting financial aid or a job, so by voting and persuading

other people to vote I can make other people speak for people who can't.
 The second world that describes is interesting because i saw how my friends were been

really engage in the project really inspire to see how one vote can make a change and also

because we created memes making it funny to share the memes or videos that we created for

the project also because before I wouldn’t find voting as interesting and important and now I

think is a big important privilege that I don’t have so when I'm eligible to vote I'm definitely going

to vote as a form of speaking for who people who can't speak/vote.

And the final word is beneficial because it gives me knowledge in how when i become a U.S

citizen what are my obligations as a citizen and how it affects me and other people also

because it shows the problems that are going on now and how i can change them in the future,

and what mistakes can me manage in the future by my civics education, and it benefits other

people by speaking for other people who can't vote like me and have them at least vote for me

but also following their point of view in politics.

In conclusion this project was successful because it gave me knowledge and was helpful and

benefit me to have say and make other vote so they could notice that their vote counts and

know more about how politics also affects them in the real world .
