Product Type Defoamer for Emulsion Polymerization
Performance ANTAROL™ L 837 is a post addable defoamer designed to eliminate
microfoam during the emulsion polymerization process.
ANTAROL™ L 837 provides the following benefits:
• Eliminates film defects caused by microfoam
• Post addable to control foam during packaging
• Easily incorporated and water dilutable
• Provides good leveling and defect free surfaces

Typical Applications
ANTAROL™ L 837 has excellent storage stability and will not separate when
incorporated into the emulsion polymer.
ANTAROL™ L 837 is recommended for emulsion polymers based on:
• Acrylic polymers
• Acrylic copolymers

Incorporation ANTAROL™ L 837 is easily dispersed and can be added at any

manufacturing stage. It is water dilutable prior to use for ease of addition.

Addition Levels The recommended addition levels for ANTAROL™ L 837 range from
0.03-0.07% as supplied based on total formulation weight. It is recommended
that 0.05% be used as a starting point and adjusted according to the
application.

Packaging and Storage ANTAROL™ L 837 is supplied in 850-kg totes, 170-kg metal drums and 40-kg
plastic kegs. It is recommended that the product is stored in the original,
closed containers between 5 and 30C. Shelf life: 12 months. After this, the
product should be tested prior to use.
