„ 1961- construction and the first campaign with the daily


processing capacity of 2000 t of sugar beet /day
„ 1971.- big reconstruction of the factory- the capacity increased
up to 4300 t sugar beet /day
„ Numerous changes of economical system caused changes in
internal Company organization
„ Nowadays we operate as an open-joint-stock company rated on
Belgrade Stock Exchange
„ 2001-privatization through capital increase-the majority owner
became Italian Company SAIEST from Cesena, operating within
the framework of SFIR Company

Investments and modernization

„ In collaboration with the mother Company from Italy, the


permanent modernization and broadening of existing
capacities is being performed through investments in new
equipment
„ The principal investments are directed towards:
1. Increase of the daily processing capacity
2. Improvements of sugar quality
3. Reduction of energy cost
4. Environmental protection
