FOOD
WEIGHT CHALLENGE SOLUTIONS
INTRODUCTION

In our weight loss journeys there are lots of setbacks, hurdles,

obstacles and  challenges to overcome as we release our extra

weight.

Lots of head stuff can come up as you begin to release your extra

weight which  can get you off track in your weight loss journey.

It can make you stop all the  good stuff you are doing to release

your extra weight or it can make you release your extra weight

faster.

It all depends on what you think about the challenge you are facing

in your weight loss journey.

Do you think it is too hard?

Do you think what you try will not work for you?

Do you think no matter what you do - your body stays the same?
Do you think you won't be able to lose the weight?

Do you think you will overcome the challenge?

Do you back down to the challenge?

Do you think you won't be able to wear the jean size you love to

wear?

What you think about your challenge with losing your extra

weight will  determine your weight loss results!

As a lot of the time, in our weight loss challenges - it all comes

down to what  we are thinking about ourselves and our bodies.

In this 3 part series, you will find out the top 3 challenges

women are facing as they  release their extra weight and the

steps you can take to overcome these  challenges.

#1 challenge

FOOD
The challenges we face with our food can be connected to the

relationship that  we have with ourselves.

What do we think about ourselves?

How do we feel about ourselves?

What is missing in our lives?

How are we feeling when we eat?

What are we thinking as we eat?

What is going on with the other areas of our lives?

As sometimes our challenges with our food can be more about

the challenges we are facing with ourselves, our friendships,

our relationships, our money, our families, our business or

out work.

Think about when you have the greatest challenges with your

food.
Is it when things are going well in your life and you feel

happy about your self and your body?

Or are your challenges with food the strongest when you

have challenges in the other areas of your life?

Think about when food is a challenge for you as you answer

these questions -

Do you use food as a way to control what you are feeling?

Do you use food to reward your self?

Do you use food to stuff down what you are feeling?

Do you use food to numb what you are feeling?

Do you use food to nurture yourself?

Do you use food to distract yourself from the real issues,

needs and problems you may be experiencing?

I have use food for all those reasons too.

I have found that it is a lot easier to think that the problem is

with the food I  am eating then what is underneath the

challenge with my food.

It is a lot easier to reach for food to solve my problems  better

then  it is to talk about them!

The biggest challenge in our weight loss journeys is finding

out what is  underneath our challenges with our food and

when we do that - our weight  falls off us!

Can you relate to the women's answers?

I do!!
As in my weight loss journey, I had found it hard to maintain

eating regular  meals throughout the day as I would go

without food all day.

Then I would eat my whole days worth of food at night!

I would binge on lots of food to make up for not eating that

day which left me  feeling not good abut myself and feeling

bloated because I was so full!

I would struggle during the day because I was not eating but

drinking coffee all day to get through until dinner time when

I would eat.

I did not notice the positive impact of eating regularly

throughout the day  until I got into the habit eating regularly

throughout the day.

Then one day I reverted back to my old ways of only drinking

coffee during  the day and then eating heaps of food of a

night.

I was so shocked at how I struggled throughout the day - my

concentration, my focus and emotions were everywhere!

Plus, how crap I would feel of a night after eating all that

food!

It was a challenge to get into the habit of eating regularly

throughout the day  as I had to make a timetable of when I

would eat my food and what I would  eat then I had to stick to

it!

To help me I would set an alarm on my phone to remind me

when to eat!
One action step to
overcome your
challenge with

FOOD
The one action step to overcome your challenge with food is

to  become aware of what you think about FOOD.

One way to become aware of what you think about food is to

write out all you  think and feel about food.

Take 5 minutes now to write all you think about FOOD.

What do you think -

When you eat food?

When you buy food?

When you get prepare your food?

When you go out to eat?

What do you think about the foods you think can't eat?

What about the food you think you can eat?

What about how much food costs to eat?

What do you think when food can take too long to prepare?

What about when you do not feel like cooking?

What about going out with friends for a meal?

Were you surprised about all the things that you think about

FOOD?

Were you surprised about how you feel about food?

Can you see how this can make it harder for you to release

your weight?

All those negative thoughts and feelings about food, eating

and about what we  think of ourselves eating.

All the whinging, complaining, ruminating and obsessing

about food can  really do your head in!

It also makes it a challenge to release our extra weight and

keep it off!
All the negative things we are thinking and feeling about food

makes it harder for us to feel good about ourselves when we

are eating and about the food the  food we eat which makes it

harder for us to lose weight.

How can you feel good about your self and your body when

you feel so bad  about the food you eat?

You can't!

When you feel happy about the food you eat then the weight

falls off you  because you are no longer feeling negative about

yourself and your body for the food you eat!

It is easy to see why food is the biggest challenge in our

weight loss journeys  when we have all this head stuff around

the food we eat.

Once you are aware of what you thinking as you buy your

food, make your  food and eat your food then you are in a

better position to overcome your  challenges with food by

changing what you think and how you feel about the

food you buy, cook and eat.
