A brief hum.

"You are here."

"How can I feel strong?" she said.

"This hate potion would do," the witch said.

"Oh. How can I BE strong?"

"Don't take the hate potion."

When she put her ear to the conch,

she heard the sea.

Sometimes she whispered back, just in case the sea was lonely

& hoping for a reply.

When we abolished currency, the wealthy were devastated.

"Now we don't know our worth," they cried.

"Now you finally will," the rest said.

He drew himself a dream map, and held it in his sleep.

He followed it back, and found his childhood dreams.

"We've missed you," they said.

"Is there true evil in the world?" she asked.

"Yes," the Oracle said.

"Can we end it forever?"

"No."

"What can we do?"

"Not become it."

"Dad, could you turn a light on?" she asked.

"Monsters?"

"Yes."

"OK."

"Still scared?" she whispered.

"No, thank you," the monster said.

"I like my women like I like my coffee," she said.

"Strong? Dark? Hot?"

"Oh, no, that wasn't a qualifier. I just like them both a lot."

"I feel sad."

"I have emotional jumper cables, I'll boost you. Just attach like so..."

"This is just a hug."

"Is it working?"

"...yeah."

His humans laughed as he chased his tail. That was OK.

He was training.

Someday they'd need him to chase away A Bad Thing.

He'd be ready.

"How can I be remembered?" he asked.

"Seek truths," the Oracle said, "and champion them."

"But lies are easier to find."

"And to forget."
