The 7th Annual Safety Forum will take place on 4-5 June 2019 in Brussels.
This year’s event will be dedicated to Safety & Procedures. In aviation,
Procedures are developed to ensure Safety. Our industry has volumes of
procedures intended to cover all possibilities. But can we ensure safety by
just expecting human actors to follow procedures? We are looking
forward to exchanging ideas and experiences on the development of
procedures, hear about real-life cases when adherence to or even a
deviation from the established procedures saved the day or how
pilots/controllers acted when encountering a situation not covered by any
procedures. Without any doubt, we can learn from each other.
The Forum is again being co-sponsored by the Flight Safety Foundation,
European Regions Airline Association and EUROCONTROL. It will take
place at the EUROCONTROL Headquarters where at least 250 front line
professionals and those who train and manage them will be able to hear
presentations and discuss the Safety Forum’s findings on Safety &
Procedures.

The Forum will exchange industry’s best practice that can promote and
improve the creation and application of safe procedures. During breakout
sessions we will brainstorm ideas that can further improve the procedure
creation and application process.
