Group meetings
31/07/18 – Group formed, details exchanged, Facebook group created along with a google
doc.

14/08/18- Discussion took place about the possible visit sites. Responsibilities of each
member assigned and updated in the google doc.

21/08/18- Research undertaken for several sites. Red Hands Cave finalised as the site for
visit. Date and time for site visit set.

28/08/18- Weebly created and all group members given access. Some research undertaken on
how to get to the site.

4/09/18- Contact made with the site along with the person at the campus who had information
about the cave.

Please Note: The above were official meetings that took place at the campus. Our group was
in contact with each other throughout the semester via Facebook.

Site Visit- 15/09/18

As agreed, our group met up at the campus on Saturday the 15th of September at 9:00am. We
drove down to the cave which was about an hour drive. Upon reaching there, we were guided
by the local rangers on the location of the cave. After having arrived at the cave, our group
got together and discussed the significance of the cave and wrote down the valuable
information provided at the site. We took pictures and video’s while also having
conversations with the lovely people around. We had conversations on how the cave could be
a site for learning in our teaching areas. Having spent a couple of hours at the site, we made
our return to the campus.
