New Ford Everest

4x4 Off-road Mastery
Ford’s newest seven-seat SUV is built tough to take
on all terrains with ease. Featuring smart technologies
that help take the guesswork out of driving both on
and off the road, the Ford Everest enables you and
your passengers to enjoy extraordinary journeys
with confidence

Terrain Management System (TMS)

Like having an expert off-road driver available on demand, the Ford

Everest’s smart system fine-tunes the vehicle’s throttle response,
transmission, traction control and intelligent four-wheel drive
system to optimize performance whatever the conditions, helping
you always stay in command

Four different smart terrain settings for conquering all conditions:

Normal: Tuned for the best on-road driving experience. Sends torque
to front wheels when needed based on steering and throttle, and to
minimize wheel slip
Snow, Gravel, Grass: Prioritizes maintaining traction on slippery
or loose surfaces
Sand: Helps you maintain momentum through sand with aggressive
torque transfer and higher throttle sensitivity
Rock: Works in conjunction with low-range four-wheel drive to provide
maximum traction and precise low-speed control to help you navigate
extreme off-road terrain
Instrument cluster shows you the current terrain mode, driveline
torque, and vehicle pitch and roll to keep you informed and give
you confidence

Hill Descent Control

Helps you set and maintain a constant speed to tackle steep

descents with ease, allowing you to take your feet off the pedals
and concentrate on steering

Can be manually activated on any terrain – even on rocks, mud

and snow

Electronic Locking Rear Differential

Locking the rear axle helps prevent rear wheels from spinning while
driving off-road, increasing traction in challenging conditions

Can be locked automatically when using off-road TMS modes, or

toggled manually using the differential lock button

Torque on Demand via Active Transfer Case

Keeps you in control and maximizes performance by continuously

calculating and adjusting the torque distribution to the wheels with
the most grip

Automatically transfers torque between front and rear wheels to

give you maximum traction and control even in slippery and
challenging driving conditions
