ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to express my warmest gratitude to all those who

helped me in the completion of this portfolio and those who became a
big part of my college life:
To my DTEd family and teachers, especially Dr. Julieta P. Donato
and Dr. Lota Baldemora, for their guidance, encouragement, and their
inspiring words to motivate me to develop and become effective
teachers; for their undying support and patience; for their words which
lightened me up towards the right direction.
To my cooperating school – San Pablo City National High School,
To the principal, Mrs. Editha L Fule, for welcoming me and my fellow
student-teachers whole heartedly and for giving us the opportunity to
experience how is it to become real classroom teachers.
To my cooperating teachers – Mr. Jasper Carandang and most
especially Mr. John Roldan Dimaano, for all the things they taught me;
for sharing their experiences and giving their time and effort in giving
me pieces of advice; for their concern, encouragement and guidance.
To my students in SPCNHS – Grade 7 Ilang Ilang, G7 Waling
Waling and G7 Journalism, for giving me their love and for treating me
as if I am their real teacher; for being my younger brothers and sisters,
and friends at the same time and for giving me unique experiences I
never thought I would have.
Grateful acknowledgement is expressed to my beloved parents,
Mr. Ricardo Cabog and Mrs. Jecilyn Sabiniano, and especially to my
girlfriend Rechel O. Bustillo for being my inspirations and motivation to
always do my best in everything I do and to always soar higher; for their
hard work just to be able to send me to school; for their patience, love
and undying support; for always being there for me in times of laughter
and when things weren’t so great; for always showing the world and
making me feel how much they are proud of me; for their teachings and
guidance which made me become as to what I am now.
I also would like to thank: My friends and best friends, for their
support and motivation; for all the fun and laughter behind the bitter
reality of college life that we are all facing; for always making me smile
behind my tears and for making me realize what the true meaning of
friendship is.
These are the people behind Jerick S Cabog – behind my hard
work, learning, success, achievements and journey. Because of these
people that I am motivated to stand up every after heartbreak and
downfall; to strive hardest to reach my aspirations; to be proud and
continue shinning and become an inspiration to others. Above all, I want
to give my full love and gratitude to Lord, Jesus Christ for giving me
strength in completing this Narrative Report; for giving me the life to be
able to finish another academic year in my student life; for sending His
angels to continuously guide me and for His unconditional Love.
DEDICATION
Time flies by so fast. It is indeed nostalgic looking back on all the things
happened during those four exuberant years. Who would have thought that I am
now on my last academic year in my college life which is about to bid goodbye
and I can’t hide just how thrilled I am while writing this dedication since our much
awaited Graduation Day is fast approaching.

In line with this, I, Jerick S Cabog, I am again compiling all the knowledge I
have learned while having my Practice Teaching – a course guiding us and
moulding us in becoming professionals in or career as future Educators. I am
compiling not just the knowledge, and also the experiences and unforgettable
memories I had, making me come up with this Narrative Report.

This Narrative Report is lovingly dedicated to my parents, Ricardo Cabog

and Jecilyn Sabiniano, who served as my inspirations, my strength and motivation
in fulfilling my dreams and in accomplishing this portfolio successfully. I also
want to dedicate this portfolio to the rest of the Sabiniano-Cabog Clan who have
also supported our family along this journey of mine towards becoming an
educator –a molder of young minds.

To my girlfriend – Rechel O Bustillo who have remained true and have

always been there during the laughing and crying moments. To my friends,
bestfriends and colleagues, that always been there – Mark Aguba, John Ar-jae
Nagera and Kristian Ramos. This portfolio is also dedicated to my DTEd Family;
to the BSE/BEED Batch 2015,especially the Bio Sci Majors – our teachers in the
department, our best friends, our great role models and my inspiration to be great
teachers like them.

I also want to dedicate this portfolio to my future students and those who
have been my students during my Practice Teaching. Also to my cooperating
teachers in San Pablo City National High School. Above all, I dedicate this
portfolio to the One who have always been by my side, my teacher – Jesus Christ.

May this portfolio serve as an inspiration to lead the youth of today in the
realization that there is no greater, heart-warming and fulfilling duty than to learn,
to teach and to lead as Jesus Christ did.
Teachers’ Prayer

Dear God,

As countless teachers begin to prepare for a new school year

ahead, grant them an abundance of Your wisdom.
Prepare their hearts to welcome and love our loved ones, and
may we make sure to show them love and respect in return.
Give them grace as they help students who aren’t thriving,
courage to say what needs to be said, tools and knowledge on
how and when to speak love, and strength when they feel weak.
When they feel unseen, remind them that no moment goes
unnoticed. They are shaping the future in one million small - yet
incredibly important - ways every day.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of learning they
share with our children.
Bless them, Lord, and may they see even just a glimpse of how
their faithfulness will forever impact generations to come.
Thank you for today.
Thank you for ways in which you provide for us all. For Your
protection and love we thank you.
Help us to focus our hearts and minds now on what we are
about to learn.
Inspire us by Your Holy Spirit as we listen and write.
Guide us by your eternal light as we discover more about the
world around us.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus..

Amen.

SPCNHS History
In 1969, the late Councilor Jose C. Reyes filed a resolution for the
establishment of a public high school. The school was founded on
March 3, 1969 and was called "San Pablo City High School." In 1994.
the status of the school changed from city to national as prescribed by
Republic Act No. 6655 signed into law on May 26, 1988 by President
Corazon Aquino. The name was changed to "San Pablo City National
High School." In the 1990s, SPCNHS added annexes in different
barangays of the city due to the unprecedented increase of enrollees that
could no longer be accommodated in the school campus. Thus, it is now
known as the "San Pablo City National High School-Main" In the 2000s,
each annex became an independent public high school.

SPCNHS is recognized by the Department of Education.

into 13 departments, each with a department head. There are 11 teachers
under English, 11 under Mathematics, 16 under Science and
Technology, 11 under Filipino, 9 under Araling Panlipunan, 9 under
MAPEH, and 13 under T.L.E. In addition, 11 serve as administrative
staff. All of these are headed by a secondary school principal

Carrer Plan
Now that our graduation is nearly in our hands, I
am very glad upon thinking all my struggles and
challenges that I’ve faced, I would be able to say
that now I am a Teacher
Now, I came to the point that I am thinking what
will be the next step after graduation.
First, I will apply in a private school which will
be my training ground in teaching, at the same time I
will apply in a review center so that I would be
prepared in the LET examination next school year.
After passing the LET, in that time I could say
that I am a successful teacher.
Having that title, I can apply to the public
schools and can now be able to study again and take
the masteral degree.
As a teacher I see myself studying forever,
because I know as a matter of fact that the field of
teaching is also the field of studying.

Reflection

Practicing teaching is one of the most

unforgettable moment I’ve ever had. Being with
your students was one of the great things that a
student teacher may be proud of. As a teacher you
are not the only one that will give learning, but the
students also. I’ve a lot of things with my students.
They teach me how to handled them properly and
accept them as an individual having a unique
characteristic.

I could never forget the lifelong experiences

that I’ve faced on specially the home works that my
cooperating teacher gave to me. Compare to other
Student Teachers, I think I’m the one who is much
better among all due to all hard works that I’ve
experience.

I will always treasure every moments that I’ve

been experienced in my practice teaching those
difficulties, hard works, laughter, and joy will make
me a better man, and a better teacher.
