Using Technology in Study
Introduction:
Technology slowly seems to be taking over many aspects of human society. Education
has gradually evolved to incorporate technology in the dissemination of information. This
advancement has revolutionized the classroom environment leading to improved grades and
learning experiences. The question now remains, how is technology best utilized in the
classroom and what are the advantages and the disdvantages of its use. As tablet computers
and other smart devices slowly replace textbooks, we must also examine the challenges
facing implementation of technology in education. The main argument for incorporating
technology in classrooms is, students should be able to apply classroom concepts to daily life
with ease. Since a large part of daily life involves technology, using it in classes only seems
right. Many learners today are apt at using tools such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones.
Technology has become second nature. Eliminating the technology factor from the learning
equation would, therefore, in a way be alienating a critical part of the students’ capabilities.
What is technology ?
The term "Technology" is wide, and everyone has their way of understanding its meaning.
Technology refers to methods, systems, and devices which are the result of scientific
knowledge being used for practical purposes. We use technology to accomplish various tasks
in our daily lives, in brief; we can describe technology as products and processes used to
simplify our daily lives.
There are many technologies that can be used in study ,they're devided into two as the
following :
3. Taking pictures
2
2. Outside the classrooms:
1. Online research
2. Audio books
3. PDF books
4. E-learning
1. Wider possibilities: the Internet has made it possible for us to share the needed
documents and materials with anyone within a few clicks. Besides, with the help of
portable devices like smartphones or tablets, students have access to the relevant
materials 100% of their free time, which means that the educational process is no
longer limited to the hours that students spend in the classroom.
3. Convenience and ease of use: Compared to a book, the weight of a single tablet is
much lighter. Thus, if students don’t have to carry around two or more books, and
can simply replace them with a portable device – it makes the process of learning
much more comfortable and simpler. Not mentioning that all of the needed data is
stored in one place!
4. Low cost: Modern technologies will also help us to save some money; young people
and their parents spend lots of money buying new books for school, university or
college every year, while now, they can spend money only once and buy a good
gadget.
5. Study becames fun! Students will be more interested in obtaining new knowledge.

What are the negative aspects of using technology in study ?
2. Cheating: Technology makes the fight against college cheating more challenging. No
longer do students have to rely on in-person networks or copying off of someone
else's paper to cheat. Instead, they can easily text answers to their friends or sneak a
peek at their laptop during tests. A host of sites that allow students to pay for access
to papers has sprung up, and the ready availability of sites with useful information
makes plagiarism more tempting.
4. Laziness and forgetting the basic way of studying: Computers and internet make it
too easy to find information. This may result in having poor study habits and
developing a lazy attitude. Students would no longer rely on books that are lent by
their teachers, since they are only interested to study using computers and mobile
phones.
Conclusion :
Technology has become a fantastic and useful tool in education. With numerous tech
players actively involved in developing gadgets of the future, we can only speculate what
new advances will be making their way into classrooms in the coming days. Following the
evolution of technology, educational capabilities are changing and growing daily. The
Internet is a vast library of data that is useful in shaping up the landscape of education as we
know it. All in all, technology alone will not change education. Good grades and practical
knowledge are as important as ever. Technology in education is therefore simply a catalyst,
a tool for conveying lessons whose effectiveness cannot be overlooked.
