Dear Scott,

After being told about your vacancy for the Director of Operations at SBL by my spouse, I read through the Google
Doc containing the position overview and quickly saw myself as the ambitious, high-energy and high-precision project
manager you are looking for.

I have accumulated an array of working experience all focusing on communication and organizing goals, be it on the
micro level as either a classroom teacher or internet database organizer for a textile company, or the bigger picture
working on high-value projects spanning several months for Slovenia’s largest printing intermediary. I am used to
building precise schedules in advance and know when to stretch them as a precaution should the project get off-track.
Working with highly specific print wares taught me to think both on my feet and outside the box at the same time,
regardless of whether it meant sourcing an exotic type of binding leather or filling in a millimeter spot my production
unit had missed with red sharpie for an entire batch of books; the latter is my second proudest moment as a project
manager, second only to coordinating a project with a group of disabled workers as described in the attached video.

My key to maintaining the intended schedule and high quality of the products has always been giving precise
instructions from the get go, thus avoiding back-and-forth communication that would cost the project even more
time. The second key component is to always remain cordial and show compassion for the producer of the
deliverables in order to bypass unnecessary stress, but also to kindly request daily status updates in order to be able
to maintain the schedule and provide the recipient/client with updates. All this amounts to my preferred project
management methodology being akin to “waterfall” processes in software development, meaning I prefer to plan
projects out fully on paper and then execute them in phases, a method that is made easy with management software
such as Trello, which allows for good interaction in remote teams.

I am currently looking to join a working environment that is established but with ample room to grow, where
individual projects I would manage would influence the course of the company. Equally as important, I am also
seeking stimulative team relations, even if they are remote. In addition to organizing projects, I would also be glad to
plan the occasional online musician hangout, gaming night or even personal get-together for my team to keep work
pleasant and spirits high. I kindly invite you to have a glance at the attached CV for my educational and professional
credentials while the video should elaborate on those as well as my background as a musician, all points I would gladly
elaborate upon via video call or in person as well.

Sincerely,
Andrej Čuk
