extreme sear heat bakes and
cracks the stainless steel
coating off of the grates
provided. No satisfaction when
contacting them for
replacements or upgrades. I'm
left with only two usable of the
four grates that came with the
grill and searching for
replacements from another
manufacturer just so I can use
my grill. In the meantime, no
sear cooking for me. Very
disappointed in lack of

Question: I am looking at the Kitchen Aid 36" Built In Was This Helpful?
Grill. I am replacing an existing grill, that is
built into a brick masonry base. I see that
they provide a 10 ft hose and regulator to
convert to Natural gas. I don't have an open
bottom for the hose to go. Is the hose
removable from the regulator.? Does it use
standard pipe threads so I can re-plumb
with hard pipe and suitable gas hose?

used when converting your grill to natural gas.
