Diagonal lines suggest a feeling of movement or direction. Objects presented in

a diagonal line (visually) suggest instability in relationship to gravity. Since they
are neither vertical nor horizontal, the visual mental picture is that something
is moving or about to fall. This creates tension and drama for the viewer of a
photograph!
