Key Concept:
1. Angle is compose of two rays that have a common point called vertex.
2. Right angle measure 900, acute angle measure below 900, Obtuse angle measure
above 900, straight angle measure 1800, and more than 1800 is a reflex angle.

I. Learning Objectives
By the end of the session, each grade four pupil shall be able to:
1. Define what is a plane figure and polygons.
2. Identify a polygon based on the number of its sides.
3. Define what a triangle is.
4. Identify a triangle based on its sides and angles.
5. Define what a quadrilateral is
6. Identify a quadrilateral based on its sides and angles.
7. Acknowledge that even we have different characteristics, we belong to one
family.
Key Concepts:
1. A plane figure is a particular set of points in a plane.
2. A triangle is a kind of polygon with 3 sides and 3 corners.
3. Equilateral triangle has sides of the same length. An isosceles triangle has 2 sides
of the same length. A scalene triangle has sides of different lengths. Equiangular
triangle has angles with the same measure. Acute triangle has an acute angle.
Triangles with a right angle are called right triangles. Triangles with obtuse
angles are called obtuse triangle.
4. A quadrilateral is a 4-sided polygon.
5. A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of parallel sides. A parallelogram
with four sides of the same length is a rhombus. A rectangle is a quadrilateral with
two pairs of parallel sides and four right angles. A rectangle with 4 sides of the
same length is a square.

1. Perimeter is the distance around a polygon. It is the total or sum of the lengths of
all the sides of the polygon.
2. The formula of the perimeter of the rectangular figure is P= 2L x 2W.
