REPAIR AND REMEDIAL TOOLS CASING ROLLERS

The Logan Casing Roller repairs and
restores dented, collapsed, or
buckled tubing or casing of any size
and weight to its original inside
diameter and roundness.
• Name and number of assembly
• Top connection, if other than
standard
• Casing outside diameter and
weight

Construction
The Logan Casing Roller is composed
of a mandrel with eccentric roll
surfaces, three heavy-duty, precision
ground rollers, a nose cone, and
rugged ball bearings. Special wear Mandrel
resistant alloy steels are used in the
manufacture of the tool. The rollers
are hardened to improve their wear
resistance. The rollers are secured to
the mandrel by the nose cone that is
retained by rugged ball bearings.
Circulation capabilities are provided
by a through bore.

Logan Casing Rollers can be

redressed with larger size rollers to
restore larger size casing. The casing Top
roller can be used in right-hand or Roller
left-hand rotation and can be
ordered with either right or left-hand
connections. Special nose cones can
be ordered with a tool joint connec-
tion so that lower stinger assemblies
can be run if desired.
Middle
Operation Roller
Good fluid circulation and slow rotary
speeds make the operation of the
Logan Casing Roller a simple,
effective process. The casing roller is
made up to the bottom of the drill
string. Slowly lower and rotate the
string until the damaged section is Bottom
reached. Begin circulation and Roller
continue to slowly lower the string
while increasing rotation speed. The
tapered nose cone will guide the tool
and allow it to enter and open the Loading
collapsed section. Adequate

downward pressure must be

maintained. Too little pressure will
cause wear on the tool without
restoring the casing. If string weight is
insufficient for downward progress,
