TASK 33-10-06-870-801-A01

1. Description and Operation

The Illuminated Panels hold controls and indicators related to panel functions.
These controls and indicators help the pilot or an operator during aircraft flight. The
indications have the following properties:
- White indications
- Blue-grey background.

A backlight system makes it possible to read the panel indications in low lighting
conditions. The backlight system has small lamps that are installed on a printed
circuit board (PCB) engaged to the back side of the panel with screws. A connector,
installed on the same PCB, supplies the electrical power to the lamps.

Figure 1 shows a view of a typical illuminated panel.
