Executive Summary
WayGo is an advanced location device and App based company. It combines
the use of automatic vehicle location in individual vehicles with software that
collects these fleet data for a comprehensive picture of vehicle locations. This vehicle
tracking systems commonly use GPS or GLONASS technology for locating the
vehicle. Vehicle information can be viewed on App developed by the company.
Urban public transit authorities are an increasingly common user of vehicle tracking
systems, particularly in large cities.
WayGo allows to locate and track people, fleets, objects and animals in novel
ways.They have been created by the team of management graduates.

currently in the market

WayGo is aimed at outdoor sports fans, socialisers, caregivers or people living


in remote areas or travelling to distant places. It also targets small and medium
companies that want to track vehicles, assets or mobile teams in a simple, fast and
hassle-free way.
They are commonly used by fleet operators for fleet management functions
such as fleet tracking, routing, dispatching, on-board information and security. Along
with commercial fleet operators, urban transit agencies use the technology for a
number of purposes, including monitoring schedule adherence of buses in service,
triggering automatic changes of buses’ destination sign displays once the vehicle
approaches the bus terminus (or other set location along a bus route such as a
particular bus stop along the route), and triggering pre-recorded (or even synthetic
speech) bus stop, route (and its destination) or service announcements for passengers.

This is helpful for consumer vehicles as a theft prevention, monitoring and
retrieval device. Police can simply follow the signal emitted by the tracking system
and locate the stolen vehicle. When used as a security system, a WayGo System may
serve as either an addition to or replacement for a traditional car alarm. WayGo
makes it possible to control the vehicle remotely, including block doors or engine in
case of emergency. The existence of vehicle tracking device then can be used to
reduce the insurance cost, because the loss-risk of the vehicle drops significantly.

There are 250 location apps in Google Play. All but 3 (Family Locator, Friend
Locator, Glympse) can be ruled out as relevant competitors because of low number
of installs, little quality and inferior features.

WEAKNESSES OF 3 APPS
Weakness of Family Locator (LIFE360)
• Permanent location sharing. Users can’t disable location.
• Tiresome before start sharing a location: create an account, sign in, add people to a
circle, wait them to reciprocate and add places.

• Advertising.

Weakness of Glympse (Glympse Inc)


• Sharing a trip with contacts is very complex: many clicks.
• Contacts need to have Glympse app installed on their mobile to share a location.

• Devised mainly for temporary location sharing.

All of these depends upon mobile phone for location. Unlike WayGo none of its have
its one device
SHORTCOMINGS OF CURRENT DEVICES
1. Locate people-such as mountaineers, outdoor sports fans, explorers, sailors,
emergency teams-in areas with little or no mobile coverage.
WayGo transmits data by the Iridium Satellite network that covers virtually all the
Earth surface.

2. Locate people in natural disasters (as communication satellite is more reliable,


since mobile antennas generally are also affected).
WayGo transmits location position through satellite communication, immune to
disasters that disrupt mobile networks.

3. Coordinate people or teams in the field in time-sensitive tasks (e.g. complex


events (congresses, weddings), construction projects).
The app can create a private network to track and locate in space and real-time the
people invited.

WayGo GPS transmits data through satellite, so it can track objects out of mobile
networks coverage (e.g. sea, air) and provide metrics such as movement, location,
speed limits, downtime.
There were $22.6 billion worldwide in losses due to cargo theft in 2015.

5. Issue alerts in accidents (e. g vehicles, objects, old people,...), filter false positives
and send SOS messages.
Alerts can be programmed when the sensors transmit certain data: e. g. a blow of
more than 5G plus a fast slowdown, possibly with swings, followed by a quick stop
and maybe with a high temperature (fire).
6. Monitor the quality of driving (e.g. of vehicles with hazardous materials or
vehicles insured).
The device and app allow the monitoring of rapid accelerations, maximum speed or
swings, unlike other solutions.

WEAKNESSES OF CURRENT DEVICES


1. Unreliable or unhandy devices. Positioning devices usually are mobile phones or
bulkier positioning equipment.
2. Mobile network reliance. 98% of location devices send data about position
through mobile networks that may not cover some areas because of orography,
high seas, Third World countries, or disasters.
3. Little data provided. Current devices track the position and, sometimes, speed,
distance, oil consumption and little more.
4. Interface vs device trade-off. Some of the best devices offer poor interfaces to
monitor information and some of the best interfaces (certain apps) rely on mobile
phone technologies with coverage gaps.

The WAYGO APP has a freemium revenue model and also monetisation features
built-in. The app is free.
Its use consumes credits and there is a daily limit. The users can purchase or earn
credits to expand their use beyond that minimum daily limits.
Unlike the competing apps, WayGo app:

• Has no monthly or periodic fees.
• Is free in most features, even those that other apps require to pay.

Users can earn credits to use the app features if they help monetisation by:

When the user is near an outlet running a promotion in Adwords, WAYO APP
notifies him with a banner over the map.The user earns credits if he watches the

Advertising revenues will depend on geo-located supply and demand of ads,
keywords and target audience.
