Earlier this week marked the third anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida.

Today, we sadly mark another anniversary of senseless gun violence. Two years ago today, a shooter
walked into Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia, where members of Congress were
practicing for their annual Congressional Baseball Game. Gun violence affects every aspect of American
lives, even our national pastime.

The shooter injured four people, including Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana and one of the Capitol
Police Officers who eventually stopped the shooter.

Many of these Representatives do not agree with our solutions for ending gun violence, but that
doesn't mean that we will fight any less hard to protect them or the millions of families who have
been touched by this epidemic.

It's up to us to keep working to make sure that we root out gun violence across our country so that a parent
doesn't have to worry when they send their child off to school or a baseball game.
