From the Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration, D.O.Letter — No.NC.1(2)/2057/2018, Dated 20.11.2018, sake ORDER: In the reference second read above, the Hon'ble Chief Minister In a Press Statement ‘dated 19.11.2018 announced the release of Rs.1000,00 crore to the District Collectors and various line departments towards sanction’ of relief assistance and restoration works for the damages caused due to Cyclonic storm Gaja. . 2. In the reference third read above, the Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration has stated that the District Collectors of Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruvarur, Tanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Sivaganga, Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram, Karur, Dindigul and Theni and Line ‘Departments: namely Agriculture, Horticulture, Highways, Public Works Department, Town Panchayats, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Fisheries, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Commissionerate of Municipal Administration and Tamil Nadu Generation .and Distribution Corporation Limited have sent proposals for sanction of funds from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) for the year 2018-2019 towards relief and restoration‘of damages caused due to Cyclonic storm Gaja, Hence, the Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration has requested to sanction a sum of Rs.1000. 80 crore /p.t.of 2 from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to the District Collectors and Line Departments for carrying out the relief and restoration measures for the damages caused due to Cyclonic storm Gaja. 3. Based on the announcement of the Hon'ble Chief Minister in the Press Statement dated 19.11.2018 and based on the proposal of the Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration, the Government accord sanction for a sum of Rs.i000.00-crore (Rupees Thousand crore only) from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to the District Collectors and Line Departments for carrying out the relief and restoration measures in the affected Districts as detailed below:-. The amount sanctioned in paragraph 3 above is subject to the following conditions: (i) In respect of sanction of Gratuitous relief of Rs.8800/- for clothing, utensils, loss of livelihood, sanction should be restricted to families in camps/ families whose house is fully damaged and to the fishermen families whose catamaran, vallam etc. are damaged. (i) In respect of crop damage compensation to small farmers and marginal farmers will be eligible for entire affected’ area and for other farmers compensation shall be limited to two hectares, w (iii) In respect of fully damaged huts Rs.10,000/- as compensation shall be allowed in respect of partially damaged houses State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) norms to be followed. (iv). In respect of affected coconut trees Rs.600/- per tree shall be paid as compensation. Rs.500/- per tree shall be paid for cutting and removing the fallen trees. (v) In respect of Cashew, Mango and Jackfruit trees Rs.500/- per tree shall be sanctioned for cutting and removing the fallen trees. (vi) Sanction of compensation to other crops will be as per State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) norms, (vii) Sanction of compensation over and above SDRF norms shall be taken under State Fund. 5, The amount sanctioned in paragraph 3 above shall be debited to the following heads of account:- Sl.No Heads of Account Amount _(Rs.in‘crore) i Gratuitous Relief .
