B. Engage Can you measure the frequency of a wave?
C. Explore Allow the students to vibrate a rope with a colored ribbon.
Allow them to count how many times the colored ribbon
reached the crest in 10 seconds (N cycles).

E. Elaborate If you increase the frequency of vibration by jerking the
end of the rope at a faster rate, what happen to the
