Beauty Care- Grade 7

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Identify the different nail care tools.
2. Make a list of different nail care tools
3. Appreciate the importance of having a complete set of nail care tools.
II. Subject Matter

Learning Outcome: Explain the usage of the different tools in nail care.
Instructional Materials: realias and pictures of nail care tool, , visual aids,
Powerpoint presentation, laptop, speaker, cartolinas, Manila papers and permanent
markers.
Values: Accuracy, competency and collaboration.
I. Preliminary Activities
A.Prayer:
“Class, please stand for a short prayer. Who would A student will volunteer to lead the

B. Greeting / Checking of Attendance

“Good afternoon, class! I’d like to know how many “Good morning, Ma’am! We’re glad

C. Energizer
“Now class, I noticed that some of you today are
looking a bit bored or sleepy. That’s why I’d like to
invite you all to sing.

Class, do you know the song “I Have Two Hands”?

Okay, that’s good. We are going to sing that song.
Are you ready?
In the count of three, we are going to sing that song
all together. Is that clear?
One, Two, Three, sing it.
Very well sang class!
D. Review
“Last meeting class we discuss about beauty care?
Right?
The students will raise their hands to answer and give
their own opinions on how they describe beauty care.
Very good class.
So before we proceed to our lesson, I will give you an
activity.
E. Drill/ Activity:
Group your selves into two groups. Get a folder,
answer the activity and show it in front of the class.
F: Motivation
“Now, class I’ve brought some pictures with me, and
I want you to tell me what you see.”
“Yes, we are, Ma’am!”
The students will sing the song I
have two hands.
I have two hands, the left and the

(The students will raise their hands

Yes ma’am, When we think of the
words beauty care, we think of spas,
pampering, relaxation, hygiene,
manicure and pedicure.”
“To make ourselves presentable and
to take care of ourselves and others
as well.”

Ma’am, we can see different pictures
of fingernails.”
“Do you think that these fingernails on the pictures
look presentable or beautiful enough?”
“How do you think you can make these plain
fingernails more attractive or appealing?”
“How will you prepare the nails before applying nail
polish?”

“How will you describe tools?”
“Now, do you have an idea what our topic is for
today, class?”
“That’s right, class!”
“Kindly read the learning objectives for our lesson
today.”

Group activity:
Since I already discussed to you the different tools in
nail care, let us have a group activity again. One
representative from group 1 who will choose tool in
nails care and the other group (group 2) will answer
or guess. Are you ready?
Analysis:
“How does knowing about the different nail care
tools help you in your daily life?”
“No, we don’t think it’s beautiful
enough, Ma’am.”
“By applying nail polish, Ma’am,
and by using it to create nail art.”
“By using cuticle pusher, cuticle
softener and sanitizer, and a nail
brush.”
“They are called tools for cleaning or
maintaining nails, Ma’am.”
“Tools are handheld articles that are
used to fulfill a task which we
cannot do with our bare hands
alone.”
“Yes, we do, Ma’am! Our topic for
today is: Nail Care Tools.”
(A student will read the learning
objectives.)

“It helps us to prevent mishandling
of tools which may cause accidents
or injuries to ourselves or to
 someone else”
Abstraction:
Knowing the use and purposes of these tools can help
us build a manicure / pedicure business of our own
which may become a source of income for us.”

It is very important because without these, it may

prevent us from doing our task effectively and
efficiently since these tools are able to do what our
bare hands can’t.”
“It is important because taking care of our nails is
part of maintaining our personal hygiene. When
people see how we take care of ourselves they will be
encouraged to do the same, which also promotes
better hygiene and even possibly, a healthier body.”

Application:
Each group will make a list of different tools in nail
care as many as you can. one representative from the
group will present it in front and show the list &
actual tools in nail care. Are you ready?
