SCOPE

This work methodology defines materials, methods for firebrick lining work

with uniform thickness for tank foundation.

2. GENERAL

 The designed system employed by us for the work shall be

completely reliable and accurate. Stringent checks in respect

of quality assurance measures as well as construction method

with required safety shall be ensured throughout the operation.

 Before actual start of construction we shall clean the surface of

tank foundation and ensure clean, smooth, leveled or sloped

surface as per requirement.

 Firebricks shall be laid in fire clay mortar as per IS specification.

 We shall use the mortar immediately after mixing it. We shall be

strictly maintained workability as per the manufactures

recommendation.

 A first layer of 75MM tick firebricks shall be laid over the surface

along with fire clay mortar.

 The uniform thickness of mortar shall be 3-6 MM.

 We shall construct the second layer of firebrick with the

thickness of firebrick 115 MM and with the fire clay mortar of

thickness of 3-6 MM.

 The brick lining arrangement of the second layer should be

generally being laid that the direction of laying will be

perpendicular to that first layer.

 We shall lay the joints in a staged manner.

 In case of fire brick cutting at edged etc. we will ensure that cut

bricks should be half or grater than half size.

 A 40 MM thick castable shall be cast over the 115 MM thick

firebrick lining.

 To maintain the uniform thickness of each layer we shall use

water level.

 We shall use the shuttering as per requirement all around the

castable to ensure the smooth and better finish.

 The quality of the castable shall be checked before the

application started.

 As per the recommendation of the manufacture of we shall be

use the water for casting and curing work.

  As per the guidelines we shall be provide the curing

arrangement.

6.0 SAFETY

 We ensure you that we shall be implementing all the requisites for safety

and we shall provide all the required safety equipments .
