A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE UNIVERSITY FINANCE OFFICE TO RELEASE
AN OFFICIAL GUIDELINE IN AVAILING PROMISSORY NOTES

Status:

WHEREAS, Article II Section 3A of the 1982 SAMAHAN Constitution states that the
SAMAHAN shall at all times strive to defend and promote the rights and general welfare of the
University studentry and the Filipino people;

WHEREAS, Article VI Section 3E in the SAMAHAN Constitution states that the SAMAHAN
Central Board has the power and responsibility to formulate policies and take action in any issues
that may directly and indirectly affect the welfare of the students on or off campus;

WHEREAS, the SAMAHAN Central Board acknowledges that students who cannot pay the
required enrollment downpayment in full can pay a lesser downpayment and writing a promissory
note and indicate the date which the balance will be paid;

WH EREAS, the SAMAHAN Central Board, is concerned that there were students who were not
able to enroll and avail the promissory note scheme because a required amount should be paid to
avail of a promissory note;

WHEREAS, the SAMAHAN Central Board, is concerned that the students and the SAMAHAN
Central Board were not informed of the policy implemented on the 2nd Semester enrollment S.Y.
2018 – 2019;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the SAMAHAN Central Board calls for the attention of
the University Finance Office and other relevant offices to release an official guideline indicating
the procedures on availing the promissory note;

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be approved by a majority

vote of the SAMAHAN Central Board;

WHEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect

immediately upon the approval by the majority members of the SAMAHAN Central Board.
