SKYBARN ™

…a Millennial Dining Experience.

1
About Us

It happens millions of times each week – a customer receives a food & drink
from a Skybarn barista – but each interaction is unique.

It’s just a moment in time – just one hand reaching over the counter to present a cup to
another outstretched hand.
But it’s a connection.
We make sure everything we do honours that connection – from our commitment to
the highest quality food in the world, to the way we engage with our customers and
communities to do business responsibly.
From our beginnings as a single store for over a year ago, in every place that we’ve
been, and every place that we touch, we've tried to make it a little better than we
found it. 2
Our Company

Company Information
To say Skybarn purchases and serve high-quality food & drinks is very true.
That’s the essence of what we do – but it hardly tells the whole story.

3
Our Heritage

Every day, we go to work hoping to do two things: share great food & drinks with our friends and help
make the world a better place. It was true when the first Skybarn ( previously Cattle Milkshake Bar )
opened in June 2017, and it’s just as true today.
From a “simple concept” , Irene Herrero and Ma. Francesca “Chesca” Herrero presented the concept
to SM City North Edsa, right after three days they received an email as the concept has been
approved. An invitation for a product taste was conducted at SM City North Edsa a week after with
the help of their previous employees Michelle Estimada, Novelyn Linggayo, Estella Espiritu, Wilma
Cabudol and Dennis Balaleng.
The whole management team of SM City North Edsa were very much impressed and satisfied with the
food & drinks during the food test, they even classified the concept as the “ Millennial Concept “ and
without any hesitation, they have offered an award notice for three-different locations at the mall right
after the product taste.
A mall and location feasibility was conducted and with the passion to delight customers Irene and Ma.
Francesca signed the award notice.
With the pursuit to make it happen and a vision of National exposure of the brand, Irene discussed the
business concept to Christopher Galay , an owner of a small convenience store in front of Grass
Residences where Irene and Ma. Francesca resides. Without second thoughts Christopher Galay
signed and joined the company and became their business partner. 4
Back then, the company was a single store at SM City North Edsa a Premier Mall in the Philippines.
From just a narrow store, Skybarn offered some of the world’s finest fresh-blended milkshakes,
pasta, desserts, sandwiches and cakes. The name, inspired by the traditional barn concept,
evoked the classic and traditional lifestyle at the barn.

In July 2017, Millicient “ Shanty “ Dela Torre (Skybarn Corporate Treasurer) had first walked into a
Skybarn store. From her first cup of French Vanilla Milkshake, Shanty was drawn into Cattle and
joined the company on the same day as business partner.

In September 2017, Cattle Milkshake Bar terminated the first branch at SM City North Edsa and
decided to convert the company from single proprietorship to a Corporate account to
accommodate premier locations being awarded by Prime Malls in the Philippines, to which Ayala
Malls and SM Supermalls considered as the two giants in Philippine malls.

Irene and Shanty then decided to meet the investor endorsed by SM City San Mateo Leasing
Manager in the name of Fidel Sarausad, two weeks after, Fidel Sarausad introduced his sister Mae
Francesca Sarausad ( Board of Directors) , and after a week from the meeting, Mae Francesca
Sarausad signed and joined the company and became one of the Board of Directors.

Irene had a vision to bring the “Millennial Dining Experience” to a National level. A place for
conversation and a sense of community. A third place between work and home. Irene and Shanty
continued to worked hard and discussed the concept to different businessman with the goal of
acquiring new local investors with the help of other Board of Directors, Fidel Sarausad and Mae
Francesca Sarausad.

5
From there, they were able to gain more funds and establish the Virjen De Maria Foods
Corporation to help finance the projects.
From the beginning, Skybarn set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only
celebrated food and drinks and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection.

Our mission to inspire and nurture each person and

create a “SWEET STORY” out of that experience.
Expect More Than Milkshakes
We’re not just passionate purveyors of milkshakes, but everything else that goes with a full and
rewarding millennial dining experience. We also offer a selection of premium coffee, fine pastries
and other delectable treats to please the taste buds. And the music you hear in store is chosen for
its artistry and appeal.
It’s not unusual to see people coming to Skybarn to chat, meet up or even work. We’re a
neighbourhood gathering place, a part of the daily routine – and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Get to know us and you’ll see: we are so much more than what we serve.
We make sure everything we do is through the lens of humanity – from our commitment to the
highest quality food and drink in the world, to the way we engage with our customers and
communities to do business responsibly.

6
Our Corporate Name
Virjen De Maria Foods Corporation
With our loving devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary ,
Mother of God - we decided to name the Corporation in
Her honour.
The Blessed Virgin Mary never fails us for every prayer
request that we made. She constantly intercedes our
prayer to Jesus. Her love and guidance is the ultimate
reason why we were able to make all these things
happen.
The Blessed Virgin Mary may be taken as a patroness of
any good activity, for she is often cited as the patroness of
all humanity. The Blessed Virgin Mary is also associated
with protecting many occupations and locations. And
above all She is our MOTHER.
"The foundation of all our confidence. . . is found in the
Blessed Virgin Mary. For God has committed to Mary the
treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may
know that through her are obtained every hope, every
grace, and all salvation. For this is his will, that we obtain
everything through Mary."

7
Our Trade Name
SKYBARN
To start with a fresh trademark upon discontinuance of the Cattle
Milkshake Bar brand in September 2017, we thought of something
traditional and closer to the Cattle concept.
We would like to preserve the “barn” concept and so we
collaborated our ideas to come up with a Trade Name that would
personally reflect the character of a barn type dining.
Heaven has blessed us with this opportunity through prayers and
hardwork…and so with our love for things up above, we came up
with the word “SKY” not only for all the GOODNESS the word brings,
but an icon as well for the ULTIMATE or the HIGHEST dream we can
achieve if we will just have a strong faith and remain in God’s love.
It is every human spirit would like to reach , ..to reach for the SKY!
The mere though of pronouncing the word SKYBARN emphasizes the
goal of every human to experience something good and beautiful ,
something sweet that they would cherish for the rest of their life.
Thus SKYBARN was born, a dining community - for every customer
who would like to experience a second home, and for every Business
Partner to remind that each and every hard work has a promising
reward of blessings and graces

Our LOGO

FULL CIRCLE OF LIFE that is what symbolizes our Logo.

Green colour as the colour of HOPE and LIFE .

The BARN image at the centre is where we do our BUSINESS , it represents each and every store we will
open. It symbolizes the community of customers who will visit us for a rewarding dining experience. The
DOORs and WINDOW , are the endless opportunities along the way.
The TWO FORTUNE PLANTS represents our HERITAGE as we build our legacy that will be inherited by our
great grand children to prepare something better for their future.

The EIGHT RAYS signifies a NEW BEGINNING EACH DAY as we work to reach our goals. To begin each day
with a smile, to stood up and learn for any mistake and to bring HOPE when all else have failed.
The EIGHT STARS symbolizes the ELEMENTS OF THE EARTH . Five of the stars - Earth , Fire, Metal, Air and Water
remind us that God has provided us the abundance of the Universe, to make use of it in nurturing our
human spirit and be grateful for all God given blessings we may received and live the life God wanted us
to be. Three of the stars – represents our EMPLOYEES, our BUSINESS PARTNERS and our COMMUNITY, where
these three unites to form a solid foundation to bring out the BEST IN EVERYTHING we do for without any of
these pillars we will not be able to fulfil our goal.
The CIRCLE BORDER is the INFINITY for unlimited potential , the endless passion that ignites each one of us
to work and connect with transparency, honesty, respect…
..and dignity in delivering the best in all we do.

9
